Man I'd imagine some of those accidents with the dragsters & push trucks had to be fatal. Thats some scary ****.

This is the first picture that came to mind when I saw the ***le of the thread.

 

This literally happened to me and a buddy when I was like 17. We were racing a guy on the highway and I looked in the middle of the road and saw my buddy's tire bouncing down it and said "well that's not good...."

 

Same thing with us, but not racing. Just crusing the highway in our first lowrider. 77 Buick when crash bang boom & a slew of sparks. I thought oh **** blowout. My bud got it pulled over safely & when we get out I noticed the whole damn rim was gone & the quarter was smashed up good. As I look around to survey things I see the 13' Dayton wire wheel rolling up the exit embankment then back down & eventually lands smack right back into the quarter panel it destroyed.
We still mess w old cars & laugh about it now, but we about **** ourselves when it happened.
