The red chopped HT in Mark's post 116 has a tag that reads Low 55! Uh, what? Lol

I've always been a custom guy felt like everything is fair game.
But in my simple mind tri-fives, bullet birds, and rivy's only needed a little at***ude and al***ude adjustments for near perfection:cool:

I had three 56 Chevy’s in the early 70s. 4dht, 2dht, vette. paid a total of less than $600 for all three back then. Even had a 56 Pontiac Safari. Man. I wish I kept them all.

My old 56. Genius me traded it off for a project 34 Victoria. Vicky is up and running now but I do miss the 56 sometimes, it was a pretty darn comfy driver. Last known whereabouts California. I had a ton of work in that car. This was the night she was drove off into the sunset. 56 has always been my favorite year.

I'm not into those wheels especially and don't even get the whole "lay'n frame" schtick but that is a beauty of a 56 Chevy.

Customs are nice, but its hard to improve on a virtually stock 56'

What's the deal with the front bumper and the way it comes to a point and other 56's are flat across the front? Is this on certain models or from another car?

It's probably the lack of uprights that's throwing you off a little.

    I always thought if you had a '56 it was because you couldn't afford a '55 or '57. :D

I'm surprised no one has posted this one yet, Dennis McPhail's (not my pictures). There are so many subtle body mods on this car.
