I'll be stealing the Model A visor idea. Giving you full credit, of course...

Nice trade for sure Eric! Whenever I see an old build chop top, I think to myself, did they peal back the outer skin on the "A" pillars and weld the inner structure or just weld the skin back together. I hope yours was done properly! I think back to the pictures of the chopped 32 3 window out east that was rolled several years ago. It came through the accident because it was welded inside and out. 60 Special

Well I wasn’t expecting to find this! Distinct enough that somebody should recognize the car!

I can't recall ever seeing one or imagine that!
I see that's not what @Roadsir has in mind

    I’m thinking early 70’s it’s groovy!

  8. Wow that is pretty distinctive, not necessarily in a good way. Still a good trade.

That is funky. I wonder what's on the doors.
You may end up with a decision on leave it or cover it up.

Wow! I'd say early-mid 70's Street Freak era? With the work in that paint job, I'd wager it may have appeared in the (Midwest?) ISCA car show circuit.
There's an ISCA car show group. Someone has to remember the car...

    @Moriarity , Mark, any ideas?

Just maybe the painter signed his name at the yet to be sanded bottom center of the deck lid under the handle??? I agree with Corn Fed; wet sand the doors and quarters and hope there's a car name etc. I'd be tempted to wet sand the body out and run it during the mock up/shakedown period in green before the car gets blown apart for final paint and ***y. It's just way too cool to cover with primer.

  15. Love the model A visor trick. That paint is insane. Hope the rest of it is somewhat usable.

I really had in my mind a conservative hot rod build…but discovering this paint is throwing that out the window. I confirmed the cowl doesn’t have paint but check this out!

I hope someone comes up with old pictures of it. Makes ya wonder if the rest of the car was as wild as the paint.

Man, that paint job was something else! Sure looks like a 70's job and guessing it had slot mags or Cragars to go with it. I would be torn not to consider building it as a 70's hot rod now...

Outstanding find, hard to fathom why someone would spray baby **** brown over that awesome piece of work, greens not one of my favorite colors but I’d have a hard time doing it.
I know it’s not mine but I would respect the effort put into that paint job, restoring it as best I could and spray the cowl a flat or satin black, just sayin ;):)

The paint job looks like it may have been influenced by Alice Cooper's billion dollar babies car

Nice one - I suggest you make a specific "does anyone recognizes this 34?" post, you'll possibly get more hits this way. This is the HAMB so chances are good someone will know more about the car.

  30. I am seeing a completely white chrome ch***is and drivetrain beneath it, with chrome reverse wheels.
