    As with most of the country our local parts store is unwilling to help with a upper rad hose for a 32 ford,,small block chevy and a Walker rad.Its not really their fault with the way the parts stores are set up .Does anyone have a suggestion ,brand, part number, please no ribbed metal flex hose. Thanks

    I looked back through my Amazon orders and see a Gates 20607 & a 20380.
    The hose in the above photos is one of those two.

    I've built several 32 Ford's and have used the same hose with different housings, since I started using the Zips risers I use the straight up housing, keeps the hose from interfering with the adjusters on the alternator & air compressor. HRP

    Lotsa choices depending on your intake, carb(s) and air cleaner setups, and if you’re using a water pump riser (like Zips or Snow Whites).
    I like to use an angled thermostat housing and the hose shown in the pic to help clear single carb 14” air cleaners and the larger oval air cleaners for dual quads. Easily clears the alternator tension arm too.
    Just sayin….:cool::cool:

    Thanks, @RockyMtnWay pictures are a thousand words!
    20416 upper, 20225 lower, in case the pics disappear.
    Hopefully this becomes the go-to for this question. It's tough to dig into every build to try to find answers like this.
    I'm swapping intakes and the intake flange bolts are clocked different, so the vertical housing would be the simple fix, but the angled housing seems most common.

    Many options on thermostat housing
    Intake designs, if you want flex just use tape Measure , rad to thermostat length measurement .
    If you want
    Pre Form
    Take a clothes hanger or air cleaner heat
    Tube , the flex stuff , make a pattern & go to store , Most will let you tour the hose Selection,
    I usually grab a few different hoses and take back whatever or Good Year/ Gates on line catalogue with measurements ,
    Pics and description of hose's
    Flex or Preform then cross #
