Got mine a few years ago, figured I'd put it on the firewall, so many people at shows and cruise ins, look over and comment on my tri power, and many ask , What is the HAMB, after being told, usually they go home and check into it.

To the guys making tag hangers (not toppers), how are you going about making those? Shallow tapped threads, epoxy, aluminum weld?
    Pictures would be appreciated

I took this picture 4 years ago at NSP. Must be your car! That was the first time I saw one of these tag toppers (bottomer??) I'll have to order mine next time Ryan restocks

...face sanded, polished, painted, csk for flush mount and proud to be a member of...;)
@Greenblade I used a series of fine 200, 300,600, 800 to very fine sandpaper 1500-2000 wet in the end. I believe it was shiney after the wet...I painted it (spraybomb tremclad or engine paint) before and let it dry for a couple days then sanded away stepping up in grades...I don't think I cleared it...

I had a 3/8" thick aluminum plate 4" x 8" to lay paper on and held tag flat to the paper...no tipping...keep an eye you don't sand down to much...check often...

I don’t know if this is what you were asking...if not others may find this helpful...I know I've seen others painting them and doing similarly...

I just trimmed the tab off the bottom; roughed up the back, roughed up a piece of aluminum bar, "glued" it on with JB Weld (hoping for the best); and it has stayed together for years.

Nice, but glue always makes me nervous even though JB Weld is great stuff. You should check out their racing car collection at the main office. Very neat stuff and friendly folks.

Hamb is about the closest thing to a club I've got, so would be glad to show it off. Tag toppers like these are nice as they're period but also kinda discreet and not too outlandish. Works for a hot-rod, custom, or restoration.

It looks like they're out of stock? I'll have to keep and eye on em.

  14. The Robertson fastener is a nice touch.

Would it be possible to pre-order/prepay for one?
Could you limit sales to one per person to help those perpetually missing the boat have a better chance?
