I wanted a C30 Dually pickup in the '67 - '72 Chevrolet
body style. Chevy didn't build one so I built my own....

2003 8.1, 496ci with an Allison 1000 5 speed overdrive.

 

I had one about the same year as @scotty t , no rust and nice factory paint as witnessed by the original Indy decals. Went to a farm up north (Canada). Great little truck. It towed a lot of cars home.

 

I’ve got another one with a little rust and an auto trans that i wanted to fix up a bit and convert to manual trans but a buddy sent me a couple pics of the red one out of nowhere. He had just bought it to flip. So it looks like i’m changing horses mid stream

Very far in the ot category. Just bought a new van today. 2500 Chevy, 6.6 liter so no issues towing a trailer with a car in it.
Also it has a locking differential.

 

So happy I finally got my 94 Z71 back from my son. Bought it new in 94 and gave it to him about 5 years ago when he needed a truck. I always seem to have quite a few trucks…sort of like an addiction. Current fleet includes these plus a bunch in the back yard.

Is that a 550? Use it to commute! Lol. I only have the tiny little 250, but it's still a pita to drive anywhere. Getting it into a parking spot most places is next to impossible. That thing must be a nightmare....

 

No, it’s actually really fun to drive. It’s is an F250 I’ve modified it with the semi wheels and tires. It’s softer sprung than a 550 so it floats down the road. I love it. I just have something else I want to spend the money on

 

Traded off my 81 Camaro for this 68 stepside. 355, TH400, 12 bolt. I like this because I don't have to worry about trying to keep it clean.

 

Im finally get this thing where I can enjoy driving it

I figured I’d post an update on my truck that was my dad’s. I finished the suspension a while back everything under the truck is brand new, 2” dropped spindles with 3” dropped springs front and back. Surprisingly enough it will not scrub and I can barely put my index finger between the tire and fender. I’m starting the bodywork now just added the Lightning front bumper and Shelby style ram air hood and fixing to sand and prime everything. I’m not painting it until I put my new nitrous motor in, everything but the block is aftermarket and I’m spraying two kits on her. So if I can make it hook up with some DOT drag radials (not on it yet) I dare a Hellcat to try me!! I will show them what a 4000 pound truck will do
