Thank you for the compliment?Flat Ernie. There are other projects sitting to be done like a 54 chevy and a 36 5w Ford and a 55 Ford .2dr.sdn that already has a 312 and straight front ax.but this 32 is in bad shape. All there is is the firewall, rearsection and today I'm hoping to score the top that was found sitting in the woods. We love hotrods and will do whatever it takes to put it back on the road one way or another. We have very shallow pockets which makes buying things right now out of the question. This WON'T be a hack job but I can't seem to make some understand that.

Thanks:D Isn't it better to try to resurrect something from basically nothing than to let it totally turn to crap from sitting in woods and rusting to the point where it's unsaveable? Damn! if I'd known it was gonna turn ugly I never would have asked the original question, btw what was the question? :D

  4. oh ya my 32 is a 3 window too it really has a total of 6 but if I SQIUNT AND ROLL DOWN 2 IT IS A 3 WINDOW

go for it channeled 6 inches and with cycle fenders and 2 40 ford hoods to make a sleek nose ...
well the 4 wheel drives is gonna be unique... big and littles ?

    Spoken like a Model A guy that has always wanted a 32 and couldn't find one:rolleyes:,....... ( yeah I know, "I like Model A's better!,..... really !" )

Rich there is merit in what you are doing because it belongs to you, The thing is the Deuce 3 W has become the Holy Grail of Hot Rodding and there are so many guys looking for them they ( read that "We") want to see them preserved as close to there original configuration as possible, and there are guys out there willing to dump cubic dollars into what is left to achieve that. Doors and other pannels are available but just the parts will cost more than a decent fiberglass body,... it's possible you could sell the body parts you have collected and buy a glass body ( even up ) to put on your chassis, it would get you farther ahead with less money and less work,.........
However,.. it all comes down to who it belongs to and what you want to do with it, I may not like the outcome and others may pick it apart, But when it's done if your happy with it, that's all that matters. I am looking forward to seeing the pictures.

I am guessing that we have a '32 plymouth here.

I have read it all now from the top again. Amazing.

I'm going to go back out in the shop and work on my Model A. With a '32 chassis, and '32 grille, a '32 dash, '32 wishbone, and '32 front axle, and I'm really trying to get that '32 gas tank fit up under there.

Oh yeah. '32s suck! I really like model A's.

Sell the 32 for big money and finish the 36. ;) The scout thing sounds weird to me but it is your deal. It will be interesting to see when you get it mocked up.

Here is proof that if properly hammered on a 32 ford will fit a scout frame and look good.

Man ,this whole thing started for info. only but the more razzin I had to take I kinda copped an attitude. I really didn't think it would piss em off but oh well. I get a little assie when I get talked down to and basically get insulted ( must be a character flaw) My buddy elrick that actually owns the 32 just joined the HAMB so now maybe he can get in on the fun and games and bashing about how bad this will turn out.Stick around for the pics tomorrow night. That'll get some comments:D

Like I said, parts and pieces in bad shape. We figured the bucket to pick up the parts that fall off on the road and the fuel tank to keep the 348 fed:D

    The frame isn't Scout.

It's from a Toyota FJ 40 Land Cruiser, and from what I understand, is a commonly used frame "down under" to get past the engineering registration issues of using a home fabricated frame.

Perhaps some of our Aussie friends can expand on it a little and maybe post some pics of FJ frames in use under rods.

3WLARRY, If you're refering to the top, I did say we would sit a 32 plymouth top out to raise a little hell with everybody just for a few grins:D

He was mistaken. I've seen them called Land Rovers and even Suzuki's but never a Scout!!!

I have an FJ 40 as a 4x4 project...and thats the exact same frame thats under it.
No worries... from a style, if not strength standpoint, your better off with what you have anyway.
With proper crossmembering that frame will work very well.

Too bad the body isn't FORD...but its still a very cool project.
Maybe because it ISN'T a Ford, some HAMB members can now embrace the buildup for the fun project you see it as!!! Hope so.

    Looking forward to updates! ;)
