    BaT - 1929 Ford Model A RPU.jpg
302-Powered ’29 Ford Custom Roadster Pickup by Jeff Eischen
Bid to $19,250 on 03/02/26 (Reserve Not Met)

. . . and yes, I know this '29 RPU is borderline Off-Topic . . . though if you disregard the "drilled billet details",
I can certainly see how it could have been "inspired" by the Underslung Hot Rods of the early ‘50s:

350-Powered ’32 Ford Roadster Hot Rod

    Sold for $65,000 on 03/05/26

    . . . and yep, I know this '32 Roadster is a bit O/T . . . though if you don't take notice of the radial tires,
front disc brakes, or rear coil-over shocks . . . and you squint your eyes, it's a Traditional-Styled Hot Rod

@HEMI32 thanks for the continuing effort. They are all out of my league and I don't keep an eye on auctions normally, but it's nice to see what's out there.

    . . . and again, I realize this (real Henry) Deuce 5wd (built in 1996) is kinda Off-Topic . . . but it
wouldn't be too hard to convert this '90s Street Rod into a HAMB-friendly Traditional-Styled Hot Rod

That car and the story on it (and the vintage pics that went with it) are probably my favorite auction ever on BaT. If you guys haven't clicked on it and checked it out, it's worth doing....the guy even took it deer hunting back in the day and there's a black and white pic with a deer strapped to the back bumper on there. (I'm 2caddiesandamach1 on BaT by the way).

Bought by a co-worker of mine in 1976 with a crossram early 409 and stick hydro outside in a back yard on the central California coast. It was the original jelcoat green. It had a Ca pink slip and out of date registration. He had some DMV problems so he asked me to register it in my name as I was clean. It stayed in my name over 20 years until he moved to another state. The hydro didn’t work so he installed a stock junk yard turbo 400. He removed the cross ram as it wasn’t consistent and installed a stock Chevrolet 380 hp manifold first with an AFB and then a Holley 3 barrel. I drove it many times at OCIR. It would run in the high 11’s but I ran in the low 12’s. It was built on 1956 Chevrolet frame narrowed and shortened and kept the pillar vin#.
The red paint and flames were done by Lil’ John Harvey, now of Las Lunas New Mexico, who painted many of our cars. At one time the side of the Ford style tear drop scoop said “make mine ‘09”. I believe Danny Clift may have done the striping and lettering. It was a fun car. You can see my black 40 Chevrolet and the Devin when it was green at Carlsbad Raceway. My son now has the 40. It has only used a GMC 6 for power since I bought it from Noel Melovich in 1974.

That shoebox is gonna go cheap, BaT guys don't pay **** for non-runners. They consider a scratch and a soft tire as a major project.

Some reasonable prices on some of those depending how high the insane bidders go

I see so much higher, way way way overpriced, glue sniffer's rusted, rotted, junker stripped car bodies on fakespook marketplace every day

^^ The Merc above has one cat's eye headlight cover and one missing. Also, a whole lot of zip ties underneath and not a single pic of the front suspension and the seller seems to be avoiding questions about how it was lowered.

It's got some potential, some neat elements, but I don't know...
