Lately I've been thinking I might never go to Autorama again...
until the year my Plymouth Coupe can be there with me.

Just came back a few hours ago, have a bunch of pictures, I can't for some reason upload them from my phone to my computer?? I was never there before, It was breathtaking to see those top 8 cars in person, no picture or video could possibly capture the quality of the builds, you can easily spend a couple of hrs looking at each one!! I've been to SEMA, the Grand National Roadster Show, all show stopping cars for sure, this is crazy off the chart stuff.!! Maybe tomorrow I can figure out how to send them. Some beautiful HAMB friendly stuff too

You need to go to the tripple crown show in Nashville. The same cars show up there, but there are no displays to keep you 8 ft back.. You can get up close and really study them. ....and talk to the owners/builders.

@sweet****2 isnit telling you the image size is to big? I’ve noticed on newer phone and iOS that can often happen. Especially if you are using a “Live Photos” feature.

I typically short cut around it by taking a quick screen shot of the photo, crop it real quick as I screen shoot it ( iPhone) and then post those. You lose a little of the sharp detail but you’d have to either be looking at it on a huge screen or reeeeaaallllyyyy zoom in to notice.

takes a few extra minutes but it’s what has work for me the last few years.

  17. I checked out some youtube coverage, some great cars there, mostly new entries from the last time I went. Looks to be sp****r than ever, with wide hallways and cars angle parked where they used to be two deep. They even had a half a mile of bus down there. Single finger looked to be in attendance, hopefully someone will contribute.

I've been saying I'd drive my shoebox there since I got the damn thing. Still haven't, lol, and it is like an hour drive from my house.... One of these days.

I went to the show, before the pandemic, also again this year.
I thought the downstairs was pretty light, from when I was there before?
The last times we went, it took us all day Friday to view the down stairs.
This year we were done by 2:30 pm.
Don't get me wrong! It was still a Great show!

  22. They are tired of the "What's your H.A.M.B. number?" and "What color are your color are your whitewalls" threads (both real quotes I have overheard at events) and want to talk about and build hot rods, customs, and vintage racecars.

Don't forget discussing at length if the hobby is dying every 3-6 months.

    Good.

Don't forget older members giving a hard time to newer members who they judged not worthy. Being extremely rude and offensive and posting big-headed small-minded BS in a purposeful attempt to get threads shut down that they... again... judged not worthy.
Eventually, a lot of the more reasonable members started calling them out for it. And I think the fools realized they couldn't very well get away with their stupid **** anymore. The bullies felt bullied... and got upset and took their toys and went elsewhere.
    Like I said... GOOD.

  27. The years I go, I try to put together a reasonable representation of the show, to pay back the guys that do such a good job at shows I’ll never get to. I don’t expect to be going for a couple more years, thought someone would pick up the ball, I’ll just google for some Roc coverage and enjoy that.

  28. You think it is good that old guard is feed up? These people were core of the HAMB the builders who were there in the early days of the HAMB who got tired of the recovering Billet Worshipers who invaded and are now trying to take credit for the hot rod revival who were in fact the ones who were in fact complaining about all the flat black, primer 25 years ago!

Even if they do visit, they don't post anymore!

  29. Fuel curve gave some decent coverage, but I must have ventured into some previous years pictures as well, because Gene Windfield was still alive.

    Here’s mine…show was a little lacking in my opinion…Kustoms were a real highlight last year…I love Drag Racing…but don’t need to see a ton of fox body, Malibu, etc drag cars, also a lot of wasted vender space. The Didler stuff was even way down on the usual BS… IMG_6318.jpeg IMG_6317.jpeg IMG_6316.jpeg IMG_6310.jpeg IMG_6308.jpeg IMG_6306.jpeg IMG_6305.jpeg IMG_6304.jpeg IMG_6302.jpeg IMG_6301.jpeg IMG_6300.jpeg IMG_6298.jpeg IMG_6297.jpeg IMG_6296.jpeg IMG_6295.jpeg IMG_6294.jpeg IMG_6288.jpeg IMG_6286.jpeg IMG_6284.jpeg
