Used a chromed headlamp from a bicycle to insert the blower gauge. Made the bezel ring from aluminium and polished it. The gauge is filling the headlamp almost complete but I managed to put a little green LED in as well. The foto shows a lot of dust from last years tours - time for a clean-up.

Spotted at a show a couple years back.
64-65 Dodge short box. Real low. Had to cut a hole in box for rearend pumkin clearance.
Mounted a suit case to to cover the hole.
Had it painted up like an old pin stripers case.

Shifter cover made from a small cast aluminum cooking pot.
The switch box was originally used as an electronics enclosure.
I did repurpose a B&M auto shifter cover for an E-brake handle cover.

My first vehicle when I turned 16 in the 1970s was a 1955 Ford F100. My dad put a chrome 1956 F100 grill in it and he used pie plates behind the headlight buckets to gain enough room for the 1956 grill to fit.

20260306_145718.jpg 20260306_145917.jpg Just got my Chrome box Flange for steering wheel lower cover from Ebay today.
Steering wheel tube is 1.5 polished stainless steel exhaust tubing from Ebay.
( thanks LG Speed and Custom) for the steering tube idea.
Still mocking up carpet size, thus the paper and tape.

  12. Recently restored this Signal Stat and was looking for options for the missing green plastic and went for a wander through the local "cheap shop" craft section and found these "rhinestone gems" plenty of options on the sheet and the lime gems just sat in the hole perfect and illuminate great with the globes but I have indicators in the gauge panel so these will just be aesthetically used. 1000018907.jpg 1000018909.jpg

The plastic indicator bulb divider on my Shovelhead dash had crumbled from age . So I used plastic pill bottles cut to length and taped together. I used plastic lab sample tubes to imitate the vacuum tubes in a radio I adapted to Bluetooth

I had an issue where the electronic speedometer sender interfered with the transmission/driveshaft tunnel. I also wanted a way to remove the sender without removing the transmission because I was unsure if it would work. I took a muffin/cupcake pan out of our kitchen (I replaced with a new one) and sawed one of the cups away from the others. Because I also needed a flange I took some aluminum sheet metal and formed a handle a flange as well as a hole matching the the diameter of the hole in the pan. I bonded the two together with JB Weld and sanded the joint smooth. I then waxed the cup and made a slug out of body filler/bondo and pulled it out after curing creating a two part tool.

I then cut some fibergl*** wetted it with resin put it in the cup put the slug in the cup on top of wet fibergl*** and clamped with a C Clamp. After it cured pulled the slug out and repeated the process with another layer of fibergl***. When everything was cured took the fibergl*** cover sanded it round, drilled holes in flange and painted it. Then installed on the transmission/driveshaft tunnel. A fair amount of time to make tool and cover but think the cover looks good and accomplished what was needed.

When I built my 33, added a trunklid I used the cap above the rear window (roof) and inverted it for the pkg shelf, I Woodgrained the Pkg shelf, had to create a latch with linkage to lock the lid, I used a Clutch Handle from a Harley Davidson to activate it.

I needed a Sideview Mirror for my 33, didn't want to drill holes in the door, so I used a motorcycle mirror and welded a Washer onto the stem and used the bolt from the Cowl lamp to attach it.

I used parts of my wife's "easy glide" cross country ski machine to build the tilt front end on my old '40/'37 Ford pickup...she was pissed:eek:

To route the wires into the headlights I used an extended flare nut from the plumbing department at the hardware store.
    upload_2026-3-8_13-46-15.jpeg

For some reason it screwed on to the 33/34 hollow headlight stud.

Painted it hammertone silver. A small stainless Allen screw holds the stainless conduit in place.

The trim ring around my gas cap is a kitchen sink strainer basket with the bottom cut out. I've got a better pic somewhere, but I can't find it. These could also be used to p*** exhaust pipes thru a flat panel.

The short rear roll pan is made from the corners of a gas tank, and the center of a f-40 florescent light fixture. It doesn't quite cover my latest fuel pump. DSC01371.JPG

  26. I removed the factory glove box from my '33 dash to run a gauge panel, I then repurposed a surplus 50 cal. ammo box mounted under the dash and removable so I can be taken from the car if I'm carrying something I don't want to leave unattended.
