So, here's the most improbable tub I've ever seen. It was a few weeks ago at the Rétromobile show: a 1930 Bugatti Type 47...
Yes, in 1930 Ettore Bugatti built a hot rod weighing 800 kg with a 3800 cc, 16-cylinder engine producing 800 HP!
If the car didn't come from the famous Schlumpf Collection, I wouldn't believe it...

Looks as if the Lincoln Zephyr was relegated to hard times & roads perhaps less traveled, at least in the black & white contribution by John Lee Williamson, makes one wonder if such a suave vehicle survived or was driven to oblivion then parked behind a barn somewhere in rural America.

That car does look out of its intended environment in this picture. I was noticing the body line or flow of the top into the trunk line. It appears to be a much smoother line than a 39 Ford sedan convertible. This is also the first one of these I have seen .

The Zephyr door top edge has a lower cut down line also much different than any I have seen, not particularly familiar with the Zephyr it leads one to wonder if not a custom or hand-crafted .

I did a little research. Apparently around 302 of the Zephyr CS were made in 39 and around a dozen of them are still around for us to enjoy.

I know this belongs here; Blackie named it the "Ala Tub".

I like it better than the Ala Kart.
