Pretty short and not terribly thrilling update. Last you saw, the body is painted so that leaves the complete mocked up ch***is.

    red3412-28-25-1.jpg

Peeled it down to the bare rails and made all the boxing plates.

    red3412-28-25-2.jpg

I also tried to decode all the little notes I made when I was putting this pile together.

    red3412-28-25-3.jpg

I like to weld all the crossmembers to the outer frame rail then...

    red3412-28-25-4.jpg

Weld them to the boxing plates also. Does it make it better? Hell if I know, but I like to do it that way.

    red3412-28-25-5.jpg

FINALLY!!!! the frame is a real color. Not sure what that yellow primer **** was, but it is nice for it to be finally gone.

    red3412-28-25-6.jpg

Next is painting some ch***is bits and making this frame a roller again.

    See ya, -Abone.

    Now officially a roller.

    red341-25-26-7.jpg

Before you stuff the engine and trans together, you have to center the bellhousing. Bolt up the bellhousing and stick your mag base dial indicator on the crank. Crank that ****er around a few times and note the concentricity of the hole in relation to the crank.

    red341-25-26-1.jpg

Then you install offset dowels for however many degrees it looks like you need.

    red341-25-16-2.jpg

This is the point where you have two choices. You can use your dial indicator and math out your hole until it is dead nuts. Or, you can spend 180 bucks on a bellhousing indicator tool from Browell. These things are a life changing event for us dudes who like three pedals. The ball bat looking part centers on the crankshaft register.

    red341-25-26-3.jpg

Then you install the bellhousing and try to install the doughnut ring.

    red341-25-26-4.jpg

Shine a flashlight inside the housing and it will tell you which way to rotate your offset dowels.

    red341-25-26-5.jpg

In my case I needed to go down and to the right about 7 degrees. Adjust the dowels until the doughnut ring slides right on dead nuts. When it moves in and out of the register freely, you are ready to go.

    red341-25-26-6.jpg

Hey, look. The little Chevvie motor still fits.

    red341-25-26-8.jpg

And, there you go. Ch***is is ready for a bit of brake and fuel plumbing then the body goes on for the last time.

    red341-25-26-9.jpg

    See ya, -Abone.

Time to fire this little engine. She is a "recently rebuilt" 327 that came out of my buddies '67 Chevvie pick up. He put a godam L* in his truck, so this little skinny block came to my house. I have built an *** load of SB Chevvies in my time, but this is only the second one I have actually owned. She sat the whole time I was building that car, so she gets a little prime job before cranking her up.

    red342-8-26-1.jpg

She fired right up as these little Chevvies often do. 9.5 to 1 mild cam, nothing crazy. I'm not smart enought to embed videos correctly, so you have to click on this red34t

One more try for the video.

Time to stick the body on for the last time.
    red342-8-26-2.jpg

You might remember, I dropped one of these once...

    red342-8-26-3.jpg

Oh my god and holy ****, it's on there for the very last time. No drama, no carnage, just fell right on there.

    red342-8-26-4.jpg

    Rear.

    red342-8-26-5.jpg

And, a rare p***engers side shot.

    red342-8-26-6.jpg

    'Nuther.

    red342-8-26-7.jpg

There you have it. Got a few more knick-knacks to do then I'll see you right here for gl*** and wiring.

    Awesome!
If your video isn’t filmed in landscape ( horizontal) and is under 30 seconds long it doesn’t imbed and just puts the link how you have it.

looks like you had it horizontal so just make the next clip longer and it should work fine.

    red343-15-26-2.jpg

    Radiator shroud.

    red343-15-26-3.jpg

    Dash wiring.

    red343-15-26-6.jpg

Dash ready to bolt on for the last time. Oooo...shiny...

    red343-15-26-7.jpg

And you know **** is getting serious when you install the cowl vent HAMB decal.

That's it for now. Next is finish wiring and an illegal test drive.

Wiring on back of the dash looking good, nice and neat. Curious what the unwired switch is intended for.

    Nice and Clean. Way cool.

I like what you did for the PCV (and everything else) . Curious, did you put a baffle on the inside of the valve cover?
I might have to borrow what you did

Here is today. Most of the main wiring is done and it starts with a key.

Got the dash and tach wired.

    red343-22-26-1.jpg

    And it lights up...

    red343-22-26-2.jpg

It starts with a key, so that can mean only one thing... illegal test drive. All the way to the Quickie Mart with no issues. Cop didn't see it, I didn't do it.

    red343-22-26-4.jpg

And, I'll the way home too.

    red343-22-26-5.jpg

    red343-22-26-6.jpg

    red343-22-26-7.jpg

Just a few little things to finish on the wiring, then it is gl***, front sheet metal then wrap this ***** up.

    See ya, -Abone.

@flamedabone . Years back did you build a similar car and photograph it outside the same house? Was in a For Sale post? Looks eerily similar to one I recall?

Hey, Pete. I have done a pretty good run of '34 Fords and my house has been in the background of a few of 'em. The car you are talking about went to a cool HAMBer in Oklahoma some years ago. Good little car, not sure if he still has it.
