Absolutely killer time as always with the Early Iron Speed & Custom guys out of Ocala FL, if you roadtrip your traditional rod or Custom, this is the show for you! Lots of drive time with awesome people all over north Florida from Live Oak on the Suwannee River, all the way down to Ocala! Enjoy my half-***ed photo coverage, glad they had real professional photographers there!
Thank you so very much. It does seem to have a bit of a herding stray cats vibe to it, which no doubt helped to make it such a great experience. Any idea of the total car count, or distance/time covered?
So much to appreciate in that video, now I am on the hunt for one of those- Relax it’s not a show car stickers. Thanks guys for bringing some of that sunshine to a dreary Monday morning.
The video said 50-60 cars and mentions at least a breakfast stop, I am planning something way smaller and invite only, got to see what Jack Murphy has for me to use as a graphic on my invite, man, I love my time on here.
The event ran Friday and Saturday with people showing up on Thursday to get settled in to the campground (Moonshine Acres RV Resort), My girlfriend and I camped in a small tent on lot 18, the event covered lots of distance going between Live Oak, Lake City, Alachua, High Springs, Fort White, Micanopy, and Ocala. longest trek I made over the weekend was from Bev's Cafe in High Springs to Magnolia Dr. in Ocala which through the backroads was about a 1.5hrs rip, other patrons decided to detour through Micanopy's historic district. To be honest I figured it would be a lot more 55mph cruising, but to my surprise most of the cars were setup just about perfect for 60-70mph rips, I won't lie, caught me off guard when my 302 powered '54 Merc got P***ED by a flathead coupe doing about 70mph! I had planned to take my banger powered '31 coupe (PFP) but unfortunately had cam gear failure Thursday night.
I was down there two weeks ago visiting my granddaughter at UF and the Garlits Museum. I had to get out my map to trace your route on the 2 lanes. Nice event.
