History Hot Rod truck thread!

Well Im figuring the poor dude has stumpy short legs.

A way cool little truck, but those 28/29 A model Ford pickups would have to be one of the tightest cabs Ive come across.

Every time I mention louvers on a couple spots of my A RPU to my old man, he *****es about how annoying they are to clean around on his A. I mean... sure, but look how wicked those splash aprons look. compared to without the louvers. Not to mention the hood sides are already louvered...

 

The owner Dennis of the truck is a friend of mine, Sky Six is also a friend of mine and it looks like we have the same photos but here a couple more. This first photo is the week before the roadster show.

 

I noticed a few bolts missing and some clecos in the photos Sky Six PM'd me, I ***umed the truck was just put together right before the show.

Seeing that year and make front end stirs up a lot of years and miles.
Two models I had were 4 Dr Wagon and an SS Coupe
Seemed like the sky was the limit those days

 

Wait a minute, that's no "Hot Rod", that's a kustom..... Surprise, surprise !!!! Zora Duntov was instrumental in getting a 265ci Chevy mill out to Spence Murray for the Dream Truck. It was modified by Dean Moon. It was do***ented to be the first V8 Chevy engine swap. I reckon that makes the Truck a "Hot Rod"......
