I don’t think anyone who’s ever had a magazine in their hands with a MAS add in it hasn’t stoped to think about it. Cool find!
Interesting choice for a roadster. Not important, but a few changes in the stance ( it's not a bucket ) and perhaps a livelier color choice would yank my chain Thanks for the show
I remember how Gary Cohn started MAS in 1963 by having a decal booth on the Farhner midwest show circuit. I was always amazed at how he grew it from there.
there's been some English tin pop up around here of late & I thought they could be made into a cool hot rod with some creative thinking. I love it thankyou
I like it but I would lift the front of the body somewhat. That would let the rear wheels fit better inside the fenders.
I joined the Coachmen Auto Club, South Bend in around 1966. We had a Bantam bodied drag car that was the was NHRA record holder in 1967 in A-Gas with an Hilborn injected 392 Hemi. We took it to car shown in the fall/winter all over the Mid-West and won the ISCA Show circuit for several years around 1967- 1970. In race car category. The only car that came close was a car out of Detroit area called the Underdog. It was a,"T" one time he would show with a turtle deck then next week with a pickup bed. As I remember it was an exceptional car. Had a great time all over Michigan, Indian, Ohio, Kentucky and Illinois traveling week to week with the car. I was single and loved both the track and the road trips. the highlight was Cobo Hall and Chicago Downtown. Thanks for bringing good memories back.
If it was a roadster, it would not have been legal in the G*** Coupe and Sedan cl***es. If it was a coupe or sedan, it would have had to had a wheelbase in excess of 94". Are you sure your car was not an Altered?
Mostly true, although let's not forget the merging of the Gas cl***es in 1968 when Modified Sports and Street Roadsters joined the G***ers to help put on a show that could rival the new flip-top Funny Cars.
