Howza Bruthas- Recently, All American Cl***ics was asked to do property clean up and low and behold this was unearthed there. This old Plymouth coupe has B/Gas 335 on the doors. Check out that Ford V8-60 tube axle up front and the homemade ladder bars! A big tach on the dash, original gauge cluster and a hand fuel pump on the dash! Does anyone recognize this beast?
Wow. Cool. I've got a thing for the old Mopar coupes. Love the '33 '34s. I think that's a Dana 60 rear end. 5 lug even. In fact, probably the same rear axle I just bought for my '31 from a '60s Ford truck.
Really cool old coupe! I wonder if they have the front sheet metal? And WHY are the deck lids always missing? What do people DO with them?
Dig that crazy spring perch delivering that nose high weight transfer. Old race cars are mystifying. Thanks @Spooky
Okay, vehicle, check, build plan, check, engine, pending, rear axle, check, front axle, check, transmission, pending, wheels, check, tires, pending, paint, it’ll buff out, mufflers, pending, badges? You don need no stinking badges. Carry on.
Used in the winter as a sled to pull behind an old pickup truck.... At least seen it happen around here !! ...
Neat old carc***. Was this in the WA area? Maybe check the local track histories. Of course the Schiefer flywheel might give an indication of the drivetrain to help ID the car. There are a bunch of posts asking for help identifying them here on the HAMB. Here's Dana 60 info https://www.crawlpedia.com/dana_60_bom.htm I'm not on FB but if you are this might help. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1472732949490936/
--UPDATE!!---- Sale pending but, the money is not on the table, yet- however- somebody recognized the car and knew the person that built it in 1962. On a side note- the decklid and hood were located on Saturday and returned to the car. Both are pristine!! Here is the hood-
Great find. For sure that's a mid 60s ford truck dana 60 with the small tubes. Those are cool. Flywheel is definitely not a hemi application. Any history and pics you find are important and will be fun to research. Looking forward to future posts of its racing history. Don't forget to check out the Canadian tracks close by as several online forums are devoted to historic pics, etc.
