Most of you have seen my ad selling my last deuce highboy tudor. After about 18 months I have given up. Not one show of interest. My son has been wanting his dad to build him a car so I'm giving him the sedan. He'll be an excellent owner/caretaker as he's very **** about maintenance car care. He'll pickup what it takes to maintain a car like this. He used to go with me to runs and shows so he known how the game is played. I am going to fender it so it'll be more user friendly. Have to shed the 15X10 American Rebel rear sprints for a pair of 15x8's so the 10's will be listed soon. Some of yeu may disagree with my thinking but it is what it is.

    I don’t disagree. I think that’s a good plan.

I like 32 tudors with fenders and without. And p***ing the car on to family is a great idea too.

Did your son want the fenders? If he’s not used to driving a 32, he may want to give it a try first. You can’t see the fenders and he may feel safer not having them to worry about.

  4. I wondered why the add was removed. Pretty nice present, Dad. :) I would have let you adopt me for that one. :)

Sounds like a great plan to me. Not a thing wrong with fenders in my book.

I'd say that a lot of us fell in love with the car but it is just flat ou of our wheelhouse SSSSS wise.
I figured it would sell simply because of a new owner being able to have the bragging rights that you built it but it wouldn't carry the stigma of "Hey look, that's Krylon32's old Deuce Sedan, I remember when he drove it to_____. " that a lot of cars carry.

Could you please do a thread on the conversion from highboy to fully fendered? Would love to see the before and after, as well as the process.
Not that I have plans to do it at this point, but I bought a set of brookvilles sedan rear fenders at a swap meet a couple years ago (just in case).

Adding fenders will be fairly easy. When I built the ch***is for the original owner who eventually went to prison after getting cross ways with the IRS. The body shop ended up with the car to cover outstanding bills. The ch***is was for a full fendered car so it has all the holes for fenders and boards. I just filled them all with polished SS & Black ****on heads. It'll basically be a bolt on but I'm not naive enough to think there won't be some issues.
