Featured Hot Rods "No one chops 32 Fords anymore."

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by MikeRose, Mar 18, 2026.

  1. This one has never been chopped, looks pretty balanced with the full fenders, garners a lot of respect locally, fulfills the having fun requirement too. Owned over 70 years. Large and small headlight versions. 1ED7E897-ADE5-4AED-9A62-3DA0EA168DF9.jpeg C4D5CF92-4E4C-4963-8B01-7A930874481B.jpeg

Hey, where's the gratuitous HAMB-****ysis? I'd bet a large coffee the ratio is the same it's always been. When print was it that's what made copy, and it only seemed like more. Now we see all of it, including some of their finer ***ociates in thong bikinis washing the damn things:eek:

That's not a bad thing, just sayin. That's my perception presented for the HAMB-****ytics.

I love the look of 32's Chopped and Stock , I have a stock height Sedan that we built and drive alot , so the next build in progress is a 32 5w fibregl*** body Clevo C4 9 inch and the body came with the regular 3 inch chop that most fibregl*** have and after sitting in few 32's to get some ideas and a feel for our build our Sedan had spoilt us for vision so I decided to raise the roof 2 inches on the 5w resulting in a 1 1/2 inch chop which I think is just right , I was fined by our Club because against hot ros law to un chop a car. I am hoping the 5w is on the road this year.

I have two - no chops. In some ways, they stick out more being un-cut IMHO.

  11. For my taste there is nothing appealing about a chopped car!

I can’t stand driving a car with a headliner that is falling I can imagine lowing the whole roof!

There is nothing I hate more than ****ing around getting doors to open/close/fit and seal getting windows to go up and down!

However I love the look of a channeled car with no chop!

Building new body mounts toe broads floor pans so so much simpler.

Plus by channeling a car you are getting the whole body out of the air and lowering the center of gravity!

You will also get both of these effects by chopping.

@Lucky77 just chopped the **** out of his 5w and it looks incredible.

To answer the question, yes people are still chopping Henry '32 Fords.

I love the chopped look, but have never had the desire to cut mine. I probably couldn’t see out of her if I would: IMG_2186.jpeg

  16. So Cal was Chopped, back east was Channeled, both almost ireversably change the car forever, probably somebody some where now days unchopped and unchanneled a car. Fact is chopped 32's look right.
