    Yea, me too!
I was thinking the same thing.
I abused my kids with the 60s & 70s Mopar version of those pictures. I was smart enough not to keep picture proof...

I've seen a few V8 Corvairs in my day but most were mid engine. I was not expecting to see this engine in the rear of one!

Mind blowing that Elvis was that huge yet blind to the control he was under. Never did Europe because the Colonel couldn't travel there. Fleeced so bad.

Just think, $2 could buy a 1/2 tank of gas (8 gallons, maybe more) back in 68, a whole night of cruising around with friends!
That $2 probably can't even buy a 1/2 gallon of gas these days.

Very true. And yet without the Colonel, we likely would never have heard of Elvis and he may have indeed ended up being an electrician...

I think Elvis was probably scared to go a different direction because he got everything he had thru the man, and he was a trusted man and pretty much a member of the family. Indeed even today everyone not involved insists he was evil, and family members and those close said he was an amazing man and Elvis loved him. Complex relationship to be sure.
