The right fender was bolted to the rocker panel and Floorboard.
The fenders came from another car; the holes were all slightly offset, which was a bit fiddly.

The clamp for the original distributor was drilled out with a hole saw so that the clamp would fit the new distributor.

Oil is now on the engine. The other fender will be touched up a bit; it suffered some damage during transport, and then it will be installed.
    Cheers, Harald

Ahh, Leipzig. I've spent a LOT of time in Leipzig back around 1998-2000.

    Great progress! Things looking awesome!

The front fenders are mounted; they were battered, so I sanded and polished them with 1000-grit wet sandpaper. They look quite presentable again.
    Greetings Harald

This is the standard coupé bench seat, only newly upholstered in leather.
    Cheers Harald

You're absolutely right, the upholsterer really did a fantastic job with the interior.

Today I installed the front fenders, spent several hours aligning them, there was almost a 1-inch difference between left and right, so I kept removing and reinstalling one of the support brackets to adjust the fit, now it fits and could be screwed on without any tension,
I like it with the lowered headlight bar.
    Cheers Harald

It's not just the headlights, though. The whole front of that thing is perfect, the size of the tires and wheels, and the way they are tucked up in the fenders, perfectly complimented by the level of the lights. Good eye, Harald.

I appreciate your comments, thank you.
It'll be exciting when it's on its wheels.
Today I cleaned and polished the radiator splash apron, just like I did with all the other parts.

The hood will be the last one; I'm trying to do as little repainting as possible.
It's always amazing how much shine is underneath.
    Cheers, Harald

  15. Perhaps selfishly, but I hope to see it in real life! :D Going for Rømø again this year, @Deutscher?
It is - my tudor was painted during winter in the cold with possibly to little hardener, so it has some "interesting" orange peel like texture. But far away, or in pictures, no one notices! ;)

Yesterday we took a trip to Leipzig in the Ford Mustang and picked up the radiator.
    Installed it today,
    2026032316580800.jpg
welded a small crack in the lower half of the radiator shroud, cleaned everything, and installed it

    - it looks great.
