M. Morton, that's probably when. I did talk to you that day. You were wiping the Roadster off. That's a long time ago. I still have my Roadster, but I moved to the wrong part of the country to get much use out of it.
What pulled my attention when I first paid attention to a 28/29 roadster pickup was the fender shape, cowl line, and the square back corners of the cab and that flat cab back. It was ugly and pretty at the same time. I really like the lines of the pinched rear on the 28/29 roadster too, and the small radiator shell on the 28/29 is much better looking in my opinion than both the later A and in most cases a 32 on an A.
Mark - RODZY is still my "all time favorite" LoBoy '29 Roadster . . . and one of my "all time favorite" picks for the Deuce Bruce Olson Memorial Award: . . . Dad would have absolutely loved everything about it! . . . he was always a big fan of @Pete Eastwood's work! - Todd
I went back for a second look and noticed the '34 hood sides, need to find more photos of this car. Bob
The skinny 28-29 cowl showcases most any engine of choice, however a Buick nail-head seems to compliment it quite well !
WOW! @M. Morton Great to see a post from you! Welcome to the HAMB from an old HOP UP follower. What happened to the Jive 5 and the tub?
Thanks. Jive Five went to Swander, then to Jim (I think) in New England; tub went to Bos in Prescott then to someone on Cal Central Coast,
Anyone know what happened to Rich Fox's model A roadster? I wanted to buy it when it went up for sale due to its Bay Area history, but couldn't get funds together quick enough.
I went to the roadster show this past weekend and this beautiful ride was all by itself off to the side.
