I have this 60’s vintage tv that I put the guts from a 25 inch tube tv in about 25 years ago. You shouldn’t have any trouble finding a working tube tv from the 90’s. They are usually free these days

I did pick up this stereo console the other day. Still has all of the paperwork with it. Fits just right and was the right price….cheap.

So, it’s been a month since the wife had her full knee replacement and she is getting around better now. I get a little shop time now and then. I decided to build a parking lot for all my trailers and other random **** that lives outside. I will build a fence made of the same sheet metal and trim that the building used. That way it won’t look like and afterthought, even though it kinda is. Oh and before you ask, my son in law set the posts and he is a fencing contractor, so he used an 8’ spacing out of habit. I had him go back and add the ones at 10’ because our C- purlins are 20’ and I didn’t want them hanging out wild and floppy. It’s gonna house some palletized racking to hold old 35-36 pickup cabs and doors etc. input down railroad ties around the perimeter to keep it all contained. My neighbors are building their house about 100 years away, for some reason. I don’t wanna be THAT guy. We lived across the street from THAT guy in our old neighborhood. I am a live and let live guy, but I am OCD, so organize everything, even your old wore out ****…. I put down about 8” of ground up asphalt millings. It’s a 35’x 50’ pad. Should keep most of my **** out of sight. We will see.
Very nice. I don't get why people move way out, get some property to build on to be away from everyone and end up building right on top of someone who is already there who obviously wanted to be out away from everyone too.
I did the initial test run on the elevator today. It still needs some flooring and a few odds and ends, but it goes up and down.
I know it's made for freight, but that thing is itching for a test run with a person onboard. ... can I please have a turn? Cheers, Harv
^^^^ ! I see trees in the back ground, so I know they grow down there... Start a-planting. . Osage Orange makes a killer hedge, if you plant it & work w/it correctly. Takes a few yrs to get it going so's it'll be dense. Or start drilling for a very high, heavy-duty, privacy fence. I suppose you *could* emulate the CadillacRanch fencerow. . Good luck. The funny thing is where our house sits, there were never any trees. I asked the guy that sold us the land, who used to farm it. He told me that nothing would ever grow here. I dug down about 10" and found out why. Solid rock. I was gonna drive some T posts on the property line, just so I would remember where it was marked later.....the little blades on the side of the t posts are showing. That's as deep as it would go down.
Well, I fixed the post that was f'd-up. Ouch, on the under-rock. Is it just where your garagemahal is, or does the under-rock go a long ways everywhere else? Just curious about other areas I haven't been. In WI, there's a lot of rock, that doesn't support much but scrub n pine trees, + gr***(well - weeds, actually. ). In northern MN, too(taconite-ville), & also parts of southern MN, although a lot of the rock down there is limestone. At least, it's something to anchor the house/gar onto. Beats the sand I'm on... That's not much topsoil. Although I'd still try planting(s), since trees grow over rock, & on the sides of mountains. Those little roots get into any crev***e & keep going... . Anybody got a well-drilling rig, or better, an oil-driller outfit. ??? . Just don't go far, you might end up like Jed Clampett... . Marcus...
So, the rock is a ridge that runs through the middle of our place. Our house sits right on top of it. Everywhere there is trees is ok. Gr*** barely grows on it. Here’s a few pics for reference.

W/o being an ***, then you could put up a privacy-fence on the top of the ridge, on your property, so's then it wouldn't need to be as tall, as if it was on the lower portion(get all the usage out of any "allowed" height available?)? & if Q'd/pushed on the "why", reason could be, "Why did you choose to build right next door, since we're rural & not in the city. If I wanted close neighbors, I'd be in a townhouse..." . Your choice to build on your property, but my choice for some privacy... Or if the ridge isn't on rock, those Osage Orange hedges would be agrown' right now... . At a previous property(rural-ish), when the guy bought the property next to mine, his builder insisted on building close to a short ridgeline, real close to my house. Fortunately, the new property owner, said, nah, give him some privacy, then built aways back on his property, behind some trees. . Turned out to be a very cool guy, his acreage turned out to be in excess of 30, mine was not much, & on a pie-shaped piece, connected to a cul-de-sac. Most of my prop was wetlands, so nice to look at/no neighbors from that area/direction, but they were fairly close around the cul-de-sac & road. Glad I'm not there anymore, for a couple of reasons.
