Mark probably camped out like a deadhead waiting for a Grateful Dead concert but inquiring minds want to know what car he drove? HRP

OK......so you have a large handful of custom cars, gads of petroliana and auto accessories, a VERY custom lawnmower, who knows how many other trinkets, and now it comes out that you have at least one vintage bicycle. I gotta ask........might you have other vintage bikes?
(I scored myself a '62 Schwinn Corvette, and a '64 Schwinn Typhoon at an auction a couple months ago.)

    5400 miles over 2yrs !!!
    That's some excellent exercise.
Work the legs and the whole body responds.
I wondered where you got your superpowers.

I rode a continental years ago like you are, Mark. All the time. Started going to a gym. I was amazed at the leg presses and squats I could do... from all that bike riding.

    Nice bike.
Mine was yellow. No fenders. I flipped the handlebars for a more upright riding position and a better grip.

  13. I have a green Schwinn Continental somewhere here in the shop. I haven't seen it in 10 years, but I'm in the middle of a shop reorganization, so I hope to find it. It's all original, and I hope it's still in good shape.

That's a good looking bike! I have a pawn shop Varsity. I ditched all the gears, laced up a Bendix coaster brake and ride it all the time. I call it the "Wino Express" ! IMG_9619.jpeg

Damn, really??!? That's a ton! My neighbor is 91 years old. Known him since the day I was born and he's been a hard core cyclist his entire life. Every summer he does a race all the way across the state of Michigan, and he's gonna do it again this year. Four years ago he got attacked by a dog during the race and got knocked over on the road. Got all bit up and broke his hip. Had a hip replacement and healed up, and didnt even miss a year of the race! Dude is in better shape than me. He's an absolute freak of nature....

  17. ... I ride my Violet '67 Collegiate daily during the summer and fall months ... I'm an avid vintage Schwinn collector also ... thumbnail (2).jpg

Guaranteed first thing when you stop..... pull the Fruit Of The Looms out of the pucker pocket. :D

I can tell you Mark has lost a bunch of weight the last few years putting on the bike miles.
    Thumbs up @Moriarity

First thought when I read the ***le - No Way! Now it makes sense..
My GF and I bought matching Schwinn Continentals from the Westchester Sports Den back in ‘71-‘72. We also flipped the handlebars up. We used to put them in the back of my 394 Olds powered ‘55 Chevy Carry All and go different places and ride. Eventually, the bikes were retired and we took my first motorcycle, a Honda CB 350. Fun times.
5400 miles, wow. I don’t think I’ve driven that many miles, much less pedaled them!

And here I thought dusting and polishing his extensive collection and walking the swap meets is what kept him in shape, lol. Very inspirational, makes me want to go drag out my old bike!
