Hi Y'all, Been lurking for quite a while and finally decided to take the plunge. I live in Greenville SC, but work throughout the country, on a contract basis, as a structural designer. I'm currently awaiting delivery on a '50 Chevy P/U and am also plugging away at a '57 coupe deville. Due to my job keeping me on the road most of the time I don't get to do much of my own work, but enjoy it when I can. I'm married and have a grown son and step daughter, and my wife enjoys the hobby as well so I'm pretty fortunate in that aspect. Short of this extended period of unemployment, she is pretty supportive of my car related illness. Our Caddy lived in Wyoming its whole life until I picked it up on the way to a contract in Bellingham. Since then I've been plugging away on the mechanical side and just driving it to shows and cruises when I can. I've been collecting parts for an engine and drive train overhaul whenever I get back to work. So far I've replaced the springs all around, front end kit from Kanter, brakes, WWW Cokers and wire wheels, a refurbished gas tank, and misc engine accessories to keep it running. I've met several HAMBers at some combined gatherings with the RRT and I hope to meet more as my travels take me to my next assignment. It's cool to go into a new area and meet like minded folks as I usually am pretty bored outside of work and might get the opportunity to learn a few things by pitching in on someone's project. I feel like I'm standing with a target so have at it! Pic of the Caddy On Vancouver Island shortly after I dropped some goodies off for Shiney.
