O/T..Japanese Game Show Most Extreme Elimination Challenge

This came up on another thread and well instead of complaining about what's on....., the show simply changed my life! I watch it a couple times a week before bed and laugh quietly next to my wife in total darkness for hours. Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm a big enough geek to quote that show when with some of my friends that watch it as well. That show is the best! They come up with some of the wackiest names and sayings o I think there is some HEAVY drug use before each voice over session!!!

 

The horse races on rollerskates with those two jackasses over-dubbing the commentary is the finest TV I have ever watched. I was going to throw my TV out before I saw that show.
Or those wack-jobs running at full speed over cement pillars in a pond..... classic. A must watch.

 

That show's hillarious. I don't see how some of the "contestants" survive the obstacles and the voice overs just make it better.

 

The first few times I saw that show, I thought it was the dumbest thing on TV. I couldn't even watch it. Then I turned the sound on. HILARIOUS.
I want to know what these games actually are, and if they play them professionally there, I'm guessing it is kind of a "Japanese Gladiators" type of show, with goofy stunts.

 

Yeah right, Deyo only started watching it after I told him it was funny!!

How about when they comment on how well the girls "ride pole" during the pole-vault event???

When I actually lived in Japan a few years back, this type of show was on occasionally. I cannot say if these shows are current or not, I have the feeling that they are at least 10 or so years old though. Of course we in the States could do such a show due to Insurance liability, OSHA, Actors Guild, SPCA, and whoever/whatever organization else thinks they can get a cut out of it... I can do without the demeaning voice overs though..

 

I a big fan of Vic Ramano & Kenny Blankenship. My wife does not get it, but I think it is a great show. Simple mind candy.......nothing more.......noything less.

I hate that dumb-ass show. The stupid stunts with stupid people getting voiced-over by stupid comments insults my intelligence and forces me to watch it for hours on end!

Best Kenny Blankenship line ever (as some Japanese chick contestant was getting shot by a nerf cannon whilst walking a tightrope) - "She takes it in the butt! Again and again! That's gonna be sore tomorrow!" Damn, I thought I was gonna have hemmorage.

 

I wonder if those people are actually serious, and not realizing how goofy they are. Makes me wonder.

harkens me back to the days of Mystery Science Theater 3000!

The best TV of all time? Yes...next to The Simpsons. Are there really people out there stupid enough to do those horrendously funny stunts?

 

Some of the best stuff on TV, it's genius in its simplicity, but none the less succesfull at making me laugh my a$$ off.

 

It's a great show! We laugh like crazy people. I especially like the trikes with roadracing fairings. "Kenny, look at him power thru that corner". What a riot!

 

I watch it every sunday afternoon and I end up crying by the end. Its a great show you are not alone....Danny

 

BEST SHOW ON TV.....after the Simpsons. I think I've seen avery episode 10 times. I mean the show is on like 8 times a day. I still laugh til I'm sore the 10th time aroun.

I can't believe the shit they get away with saying. Example: Horserace line......."Nothing Like Kilbasa" in the rear.

Or how about the home improvers VS. the porn industry episode and the whole conversation about putting caulk in the crack. FREAKIN BRILLIANT!!

MXC is reruns of a show called Takeshi's Castle that originally aired in Japan in the 80's....They just have modern voice overs.Guy LeDouche rules......guy like...

I used to watch that show everytime it was on when I was home, it is incredible!.....but I don't have cable tv now....haven't seen that or any other shows I loved watching for about 2 months now....

Hell, I almost even wish I could watch monster garage and american chopper....

 

It's a brilliant show, I love it.
