A New Old T by Foose, should be a Winner! I think people forget or just don't know that Chip can pretty much do it all when it comes to building a machine. Good to see him with dirty hands!!
Cant wait to see him run this at RPM and much respect to Chip being like us regular guys with his Harbor Freight cherry picker.
Damn! I haven’t watched him since he had his own show on TV. IIRC, didn’t he go through some messy divorce? This looks like some good therapy getting his hands dirty. Going to follow his build for sure.
I watched the video. I think he's going to have a good looking, well built and probably a good performing little car! I'm excited to see the end result.
Not a link. It's the postcard size flyer that RPM and 4E4 mails and p***es out at SoCal events and shops. Please note: We are not using The Float for tickets this year. All tickets will available at the gate. https://www.foureverfour.com/events/2026-antique-nationals/
As "traditional" as the Boydster that he first penned around 1988. I can't believe that was nearly 40 years ago. When you study his designs it's amazing how well everything flows and makes sense. All too often cars look committee designed. Foose is able to take those various designs on the same car and subtly blend them into a much better looking car. I need to give him a call and see about buying his "extra" body. Mine has a Wescott. It's a very nice body but not genuine Henry's Rouge steel.
I'm confused, because the drawing is stylized and the nose is angled.... its not traditonal? Its a factory T body and a whippet grille shell, thats as traditional as it gets!
Yes it is! The formula is cl***ic. And what he’s shown so far seems to follow the rules (except for the brakes, which should be an elegant alternative).
Cools stuff, The car is traditional as far as race car nose Track T's go. The basic look has been around since the late 40's or early 50's.
I think it's funny when he says he measured him and his wife's shoulders to know how much to narrow the body. When I did the seats in my Roadster I measured my wifes *** to make sure I made the seats wide enough for her to fit.
I wonder how much he’s going to remove. I narrowed a cut down 26 touring once, but didn’t do much measuring beforehand. I figured form before function. I did 6 inches.
