My beast 7 speed I ride on the Cape cod c**** 36 lbs, I had to have it reminds me of and old flat tracker Harley or triumph. And this is my woods and beach bike full suspension salsa bucksaw carbon tail 32 lbs it's like riding a lazy boy in the woods! They have 4x26 inch tires

 

I love Schwinns. The single speed had a flat the other day, need to patch it

I had one similar to that it was made by Firestone I got it for Xmas my dad got it for selling tires it was purple I think Murray made them? Nope I looked it up and it was a Firestone GTO Panther 3 spd made for them by Huffy.

 

I had a 72 AMF Aerobee three speed. Look that bad boy up.

 

The murray eliminators were cool too

 

You got 2 orange crates! was the lemon crate the yellow? Nice cheater slick too

 

When I was a kid I was the local bike builder I made a lot of stingrays into choppers I used the tubing I got from a TV repair shop up the street from my house, I used the antenna tripods I could build a 3-4 ft front end . With 16 inch front tire. They were cool. And welded them in the back shop of my father's gas station. I was popular lol

 

I was the first in my little hick town to build extended forks. Cut the tubes off a donor fork, reversed, & slid over host fork, drilled & bolted (didn't have a welder at 12yrsold.

 

I remember those and some kids just beat them on and they'ed fall off going down the street lol

 

That’s my bike except the shifter body and handle were white. Too bad I jumped ramps, curbs and hills with it and destroyed it in 7 short years. Was a great bike to use for delivering newspapers though.

Not if you put a small bolt through them so they don’t fall off. Or get your neighbor to weld them on. Learned that the hard way.

 

Hammer on, wheelies caused problems when they fell off ha ha, They neighbor across the street dad welded them for the neighborhood crew.
Those bikes looked cool but didn’t turn worth a diddle. Fun stuff
Did you guys attach cards or balloons on the forks for a good engine sound. @Moriarity did you have that Vroom when you were a kid?

We tied balloons in the spokes. It was an art in itself to get juuuust the right psi for that deep thump! Take off like a Bat, and see how long you could go before your actually "blew" you motor! Much to the joy and laughter of the other participants! Damn, those were good times!

 

I don’t have the bike anymore and I can’t find any pictures of it whenever I rode it but I got a Sears Screamer 1 when I turned 6. Dad tossed it out when he cleaned the shed out to put car parts back in the late 80’s. I loved that bike……..

 

My brother had a similar bike from Sears it was a 3 speed and had the faded red to yellow paint.

When I was a kid I climbed over the fence of the neighborhood bodyshop and grabbed a bent 59 Olds deep dish steering wheel. After I straightened it out some, I figured out how to mount it on my bike after using a hack saw on the handle bar neck to get the wheel on. It had a horn ****on on each spoke of the wheel so I hooked it up to my bike horn. I was the only kid in the neighborhood of south Mpls with a steering wheel on his bike.
