Technical 1932 ford coupe wind lace at the garnish molding

    The area I’m having a problem with is the wind lace at the top of the garnish molding where it comes in contact with the wind lace at the top front of the door opening. When I try to install the upholstery metal panel that is above the windshield it’s too tight hitting both wind laces. A picture of this area sure would help, thanks.

    Ford’s original windlace was wrapped with fabric. If you are using a vinyl, it’s probably thicker and takes more space.

    FWIW: One thing I’ve also had to do a couple times on ‘new interiors’, is pull the new windlace apart and trim the new foam to make it thinner where it p***es by the windshield arm bracket. Can get a little too much pressure there as it’s pretty tight.
