I really wish we had good real wagons like that here! The US mindset is, if you tow anything heavier than a canoe, you HAVE to use a 1 ton Dually.

    I'll chime in here.

You do have good wagons! But they're getting "a bit long in the tooth" now.
Look at Crown Vic and Impala /Buick wagons [1997?]

The problem in the USA is not decent SWs , but poor trailer design.
They are too heavy and poorly balanced [axles too far rearward] with puts too much tongue weight on the tow vehicle.

The manufacturers make them Generic, so having excess tongue weight /front balance reduces potential to sway.
This kicks the can down the road [needing a pickup, then an equalizer hitch etc etc]

The trailer that Mimi posted above is heavy [for me] at 1430 lbs. But heavily optioned
I use to tow my old Lotus Cortina race car behind a 1986 Honda Accord 2.0Si [the tandem trailer weighed 880lbs and the Cortina weighed 1584 lbs which is less than the Honda Accord]

I can say that after a day of playing on the track [tight harness, fire suit, stiff suspension etc] it is nice to drive home in a comfy wagon without pounding my kidneys

They’re included with the stuff you buy to help you carry it out to your vehicle.
What the heck’s wrong with you, you’ve never seen boxes in the grocery store for packing out purchases? :D

So, you're saying I can't get my hands on one of those super cool, excellent condition, sought after banana cartons unless I buy something else to put in it...??? That sounds like manipulation by the seller to me. I'm out.........o_O

@twenty8 Beware of his cunning plan!
The hole in the bottom of the Banana Box is designed so everything falls out! then he gets to sell it again :p

No wonder the place is so cluttered. Things get sold........ but nothing actually ever leaves. Very Black Adder like.
I bet Baldrick follows you out, picking up the things you drop.

I read this thread since it was posted.
Its been in the back of my mind since..
Im only 41 and I have just ****.
I know the economy is not a hot and people are not buying,so I understand my projects are not going to sell as easy.
    But I have parts,rusty *** **** stashed everywhere..
Random stuff but its good stuff,,I can't remember where it all came from.
I told myself that when I finish my gmc,I would start throwing stuff out,I never know what I'd need and it just happened that I threw or gave stuff away and I ended up needing it but I think its time..just find a s**** guy and point to stuff and have him just junk it..
Leaf springs, steering columns,wheels,etc..I dont have time to sell and less patience to deal...I think its like ripping a band aid off

I say why do the mud work if you're not going to paint?

Sheetrock has a specific fire rating when the mudding is done.

  17. Taping the joints and spotting the nails/screws is "firetape" and is the minimum code requirement to get a fire rated wall between a livable space and a garage....It is designed to stop air infiltration which can feed a fire....

I always thought the tape and spots was a real traditional look. Worth the extra labor, but stop right there.

The distance between my car shop and my livable space is 300' which may be a big enough gap even without taping.

If twenty8 is done with the banana boxes, I might be interested. Do they suit imperial or metric bananas?

    Cheers,
