It took a few paychecks and bartering to eradicate the 'Glide and replace it with an M21.

I found two pictures, that back up what I mentioned in my first post in this thread. Foamy wheel check, extra gauges check, tach on the column check, L60 meats out back check, and air shocks all the way up! IMG_4442.jpeg IMG_4447.jpeg

I too did the Day 2 thang (although,at the time, it wasn't called that)
    64 Falcon Sprint...bench seat with 260/4 speed.
I SPRAY tinted the windows (ALL of them) light blue...on a RED car !
Home-made rear shackles to give the L-60's some room....Overload shock springs to get the front UP to max height.Totally destroying the ride BTW. Later came the long tube headers from Honest Charley...a 4 barrel carb of unknown size with the appropriate nut'n bolt in the carb linkage to make the secondaries 'pop-in' sooner !
8 tracks and FM radio stations were unheard of in my mid/late sixties era. I had a RECORD PLAYER I bought from Sears that played 45 RPM records ! Couldn't really listen to them much with my open headers.(maybe it was 'just a South Georgia Thang...you wouldn't understand' )

@bowie - A man looking for action! Did you ever polish those aluminum slots?

LOL, they were pretty dull in that pic! That was a clean up of the “X”after driving her back to Pa. from Oregon, after my first year of college . I always got them to shine again with either Mother’s or Semichrome polish.

Hmm, possibly factored into leaving your present day mags natural!
