I have never figured out how guys built these hot rods in the 50’s and 60’s. In 72 when I got a real on my own first job, I was making $3.00/hr. I lived paycheck to paycheck, paying my trailer note, lot rent, etc. wasn’t much left for a hot rod.

Understand Neal is the consummate scrounger with lots of experence and hot rod contacts. He will find valuable parts at a swap meet other people walked by. As a plus he learned a lo from his father.

    I think cool build ,,
    Not my $$
    But I would say there @ least 20 k
In chrome , No matter out of pocket $,
    Trade or bargaining,
I have less then that in my 5w , but if you add up $ over 50 yrs parts from other projects and collecting trading around 40 ,
    Not including labor .

Neal, The perfect day for the presentation. It's either done or it's not. Either way it's a beauty.

  21. Did you guys notice that his Deuce 5 window is in the exact same spot as when he photographed it in bare steel? Could be an April Fool's day joke on us HAMBERS... If not, where is Steve ****an from the Rodders Journal? No doubt in any one's mind that she deserves a great spread in that mag and others...

Yea...it is just an AI rendering based on that bare metal picture. I just uploaded the pic to Gemini AI and asked it to paint my car deep purple metallic with an ivory roof insert...bam...there you have it. Hopefully I didn't mislead too many with my April fools prank.

@NealinCA , I am not familiar with too much computer technology .
    Since is was AI color
Just asking does it give a paint code &
    The recipe
As in the measurements of all the different colors to create that color
    & the Manufacture ?
