It's been an amazing start to the year. I've listed 4 cars with Kevin sold 3 and gave 1 away. Turning 81 Friday and for months Susan and I have discussed the fate of my hot rods. She wanted me to be in control of selling them and so it was. Bare metal deuce roadster went first, then my 45 year love affair with my 3 window came to an end. Then the Black Henry highboy roadster gone and finally I gave the chopped deuce highboy sedan to my son. Good start to the year and it's partially because of the exposure on Opposing Cylinders. Good site ran by a good man. Still have the 40 coupe and deuce pickup plus by early June my friend Dennis and I will hopefully be headed west to the 60th LARS in my new stretched Wheatland Yellow FF deuce roadster?
Happy birthday a few days early. The last one of yours that I saw for sale sold so fast that I figured that someone was watching for it. I still say that one selling point is Built by rather than owned by. You are one of the few who's cars are referred to as built by no matter how many miles or years you drove them rather than owned by. Owned by meaning that no matter where you take it is always Krylon32's old car but in your case it changes to Krylon32 built it to a high level and you get the bragging rights for having a Krylon 32 build rather than sideways look for having a well known rodders old car.
Congrats ! Happy Birthday ! a few days early. Agree with you and lothiandon1940, I'm in the process of the same deal to save my wife from dealing with the vultures that swarm in to help the grieving widow, sadly I have seen this too many times.
Happy birthday a few days early. Ill turn 81 on the 28th. I'm proud to say I have 6 32s in my collection with Cornhusker ch***is under them. Hope to see you and Dennis at LARS in June, Ill be in the black rpu with the Cornhusker ch***is. Dale
Happy birthday. I must live under a rock because I had to use google to find out what "opposing cylinders" was.....
Bittersweet in many respects I know but good for you - Mr 48chev's comment really speaks volumes and I agree with him. They are/were your own blood, sweat, and tears. Usually Birthday presents you "receive" - yours went the other way but took a load off you I know. Happy Birthday and enjoy LARS - I will be riding along vicariously through you so post some pics for us so I can at least get the "look" if not the "feel"!
I hadn't heard of opposing cylinders either and curiosity got the best of me. I wasn't really expecting bargains, my only comment would be that I don't think they would even want to bother listing anything I have. Lynn
Happy Birthday Gary! I will be 79 in June and I keep thinking it’s time to sell one of my 32’s. Problem is every time I sell one another five window shows up. Last one I bought off of O.C. I’m just getting that one on the road. Yes if someone wants to buy this one it will most likely go. Getting old ain’t for sissies.
I'd like to sell my Dearborn Deuce. I have been familiar with opposing cylinders from his YouTube videos. I may give oc a try after hearing Gary's success. Happy Birthday, Gary!
