The aftermarket auto industry is bigger than it has ever been and grows every year. A lack of magazines has done absolutely nothing to lessen it's growth in fact the opposite has happened because people can now get instant information about new products, they can see them being used, they can see how they are installed they don't have to wait for a month and hope the product they are interested in might be features in a magazine. Just because people here put their head in the sand when it comes to the information that is available on social media doesn't mean the rest of the automotive world is.

@K13, I agree that online has taken over information in a lot of ways. Maybe it's my own experiences having a solid catalog or new parts listing in hand to ponder over and refer back to. I know that even Speedway which I hold up there with Rock Auto as a good search results site has stuff that is tough to dig down to and can disappear. With the flood of reseller junk on EB and A sites, it's tough to confirm genuine parts and honest sellers.
Probably just the musings of a caveman. As I laid out, a new mag seems to be a poor choice to start. Between distribution, damaged and out of date losses, you have to toss a lot of product out and hope most of it is sold.

Nope but I certainly do shake my head when I continually see the complaints on here about the lack of show coverage, decline in customs being built, lack of youth in the hobby, lack of build info etc because there is more of that available than there ever has been.

Show me. All you need to do is look at Hershey and the number of blank vendor spaces, Carlisle where there are no longer vendors "over the hill" or the Car Corral is barely 1/3 of what it was 20 years ago-or even the HAMB where it's afternoon and not even two pages of new posts..Area speed shops are gone. Local engine builder gone. NAPA is gone. Seems slow to me. These days I think a lot of folks are just trying to get by not building cars

  9. A batch of emails to those who PM'd me has been sent. Please check your email and PM me if you received it.

I have been told that some orders of merchandise have gone out. I was not told what order numbers went out, and more shipping is happening this week.

As I get more information, I will let you all know here.

I sent a conversation to @Hot Rod Ron where I shared basic subscription info. A few days later I received a personalized email from TRJ asking me to confirm their info.
We'll see if they can get my train back on the track.
Thanks, Ron, for your help getting things rolling for me.

Hello, it's now 3 weeks since my email from Customer Services at The Rodder's Journal that said my copy of issue 87 would be sent out within a week. Still nothing through my letterbox in the United Kingdom. Has anyone in Europe/Australia/NZ had a subscriber copy delivered yet?
The email was a positive step but nothing has followed it up.

Returning emails and actually doing their job is very different. Responding to some emails is just mouth service. The "first bulk" was sent about two (?) months ago but nothing else since then. Still, WHY are there two (or more, maybe?) bulks of mail sent months apart?

Last I heard, things have been pretty quiet since #85 and there’s been a lot of speculation but nothing solid confirmed. I’ve seen the same chatter about #86, but haven’t come across any official announcement yet. Hopefully it does happen—would be great to see it continue.

I'm sitting here looking at #87 but maybe it was shipped by aliens. There is an article about installing a Hemi in your UFO. :)

    Same here:
I exchanged "conversations" with Hot Rod Ron along with all my info, and the next Day I received an email from TRJ advising me that everything was in order, and that I would be receiving issue # 87 in a couple of weeks when the second "Bulk Mail" is sent out.! I also want to Thank" Hot Rod Ron" for his ***istance. Looks like the system is working.!

Hot Rod Ron as his help is much appreciated.

I reached out to Ron for his ***istance and TRJ replied back asking for my contact info so they could verify my subscription status. Hopefully this gets the ball rolling and I will see #87. Thanks Ron for your help.

My wife bought a subscription over a year ago. Dispite giving the the subscription number and ***urences that it was on its way, we havent seen a single copy. Most disapointed and wont waste any more money on them. If i see second hand ones ill buy them.
