Hot Rods I'm normally a blown Hemi, Willys coupe kinda guy

Hello model A coupe! I guess I need to start doing my research on building the perfect traditional hot rod.
It's a shame I can't do anything with those fenders and running boards.

Uh...Model A talk, blah blah blah, then you show a shot with a room with a king's ransom worth of killer super desirable race engines, and I can't even focus! So, you bought the A from a guy that has a quarter million dollars worth of Hemi's? (Oh, and a lone rat, probably nothing special, just an LS-6 or something?!?!) Sorry, just an impulsive response.
You got great taste in cars, I'm sure it will be killer!

Looks like an opportunity for a blown hemi, Model A hot rod.

 

If you build that “A” similar to all your Willys ; it’s gonna be a wicked ride! I am definitely looking forward to it.

 

Little known fact, Willys Motor Company offered several options on 1933-1942 Willys. 392 Chrysler engines with 671 blowers and Hilborn 4-hole injectors were popular options. As were Halibrand small-hole kidney bean magnesium wheels. When dressed with those options folks usually opted for the flip up fibergl*** hood, re-arched front springs rasing the stance a bit to hold the heavier engine, and Corvair aluminum steering gears. Luckily many of these dressed up factory cars have survived today.

Is this a V8 cut in 1/2 into inline 4cyl ?
& you have quite a collection of vintage speed parts !
Seeing yr's ,I wish I never parted with some over yrs , I did not need to , & now I wood not care if I would of not gotten around to use again

 

Supposedly Fritz from M/T originally built this, it has a fabricated intake manifold on it. It ran in this belly car.

Here is a Model A Coupe from my old files. It is sort of a tribute to what was our original thought of our own Model A Coupe we bought in 1956. It originally had a Paxton Supercharged SBC motor in the art drawing. But, since looking at your motor stash, here is the latest version.

Your Willys Coupe builds are historic. From scratch, no less, impressive… But, everyone has alternatives to the “norm.” There are so many versions of the popular 41 Willys Coupe to trucks, so, maybe a change is good.

Yes, there are also plenty of Model A Coupes around and perhaps, now, the challenge is higher as a goal. Make it different. Dual quads on a 671 disguised as fuel injectors. Collectors under the car heading out of the back. American Racing Mag Wheels with natural brake dust color applied, etc.

As long as we are giving out free versions of a Model A Coupe, why not make one with a slight chop to give that extra layer of “at***ude,” to the build. (Along with the lowered rake.) Not tail dragging, but a rake. YRMV

The best $500 I have ever spent. aftermarket 32 frame, 40's rear end, 4 inch dropped axle. Dropped radius rods? I think 4.56 gears

 

The split wishbone is ‘46-‘48 Ford with the spring hangers cut off. That’s a nice haul of parts!

 

that’s good to hear, thank you. I don’t want to have the car too low so I’m probably going to have to sell that axle. It looks beefy, I had a feeling it wasn’t an earlier axle. looks like they lowered split wishbones also

 

That main leaf looks too long for that axle, I think with the right one and a few extra leaves it might raise the front to your liking. Those spindles have new thrust bearings so the kingpins and bushings are probably new too.

The way that axle was ground it has to be a forging, some of the aftermarket axles are cast, that’s a nice piece you certainly did good getting that stuff. Were the steering arms bent to clear the axle?

Yessir, roll down back window has a specific regulator with a thumb wheel handle. Someone here will be able to find a picture of one I'm sure
