My most fabulous new interior....

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Action Girl, Feb 29, 2004.

  1. My mom and I completed the work on my new interior yesterday and installed everything yesterday afternoon. I can't BELIEVE what a difference it made!

We have 2 things left to do..Headliner (the one in it is in good shape, but we're doing black instead) and the driver and passenger side armrests for the panels. As an added bonus, Mom is upholstering my daughter's carseat to match the interior (my daughter Lily LOVES riding in Faye). I figure if I gotta have one in there I should make it as cool as possible!

    Here's some pictures! (3 total)

P.S. The pimpin' crown air freshener was there when I bought the car, perfect, no?

Very cool...now your daughter can eat her Oreo cookies in the car and you won't have to worry about messing up the upholstery! [IMG]

    I like it...
It reminds me of ladie's underwear..... [IMG]
    (Which is a good thang!)
The white(?) headliner works for me but since it reminds me of lingerie I think it would work with some lace or fringe aroud the window frames and maybe even around the base of the seats.
Fringe, the alternative to dingle balls.... [IMG] [IMG]

    That looks great!

Please post a pic of the childs car seat when you & your Mom are done ... I know my daughter would like something a little 'funkier' than our current car seat colour. Thanks

Absolutely bitchin'! That is thinking so far out of the box that you first had "build" a new box. Smartly done and very professional looking.

Mom finished the seat today! It looks way more awesome then I could have imagined. I'll have her take a pic! Now all we have to do is spray the plastic "shell" black and dye the straps black. The best part is that the seat started out and a yuppie-awful tan and green Eddie Bauer seat! Take that Eddie Bauer!

Stacey, nice job. That looks cool.

I made a seat for my Vespa P200 out of the very same material (but used the regular "brown" leopard version) a few years ago. If yours feels like very short directional fur, it's the same.

With use and sunlight, the pattern faded in about a year, and now three years later, it has worn white where my butt sits. [IMG] As everone points out -- REAL CLASSY. [IMG]

You should at least spray the heck out of it with Scotchguard.

  29. WOW! Another snow leopard interior on the east coast. I think that brings the total to two. It looks good and you both did a great job.
