Not sure of the thickness of the pan but does not look like much penetration on the weld that split

I look forward to you and your team putting everything back together and racing at the next stop.

I can only mention one thing about the compe***ion where I choose to race and that’s in Land Speed racing. If that would have happened at Bonneville on the first day a hundred guys would be in your pit asking what your crew needed before you could get back from care center in Salt Lake City especially the ones in your cl***. 2 Lencos would have been waiting in your pit before your car got there along with new fire bottles and a -20 fire suit to use.

Good luck..may God always be your Co-Pilot!

HOLY CHRIST!!! It looks like a bomb went off around that car! Y'all are making **** happen, and that's a damn good thing! Just don't over-exert yourself!

  8. I hope you leave the burnt paint. At a minimum, leave it for this season. It makes a big, big statement.

  9. As day three comes to a close we feel good about the progress. Day four the focus will be on the body. We moved some metal tonight. The door opens and closes now. We are removing paint with a air powered needler. We need to see where the metal is. We will use the porta power mostly. I most likely won't have the money to paint it. We will race it crispy. I have no choice. I have a great team that's all in on getting it back on the track. I have out of state crew guys staying at my house. They are fed and comfortable. We are a tight team. Like family. I'm sure the progress doesn't surprise the regular followers. Tomorrow is another day. Like sharks move forward or die. I have no doubt you guys will get her all fixed up and go back out and continue to dominate.
I also have no doubt you will do it with full professionalism and respect.

The paint is an incredible "track tropy". Fantastic this week to see the car rising like a phoenix. If I was closer I'd offer to sweep floors and make 'sammichs.

    Cheers,

Does this have any thing to do with what happen @ EddiesVill 2025 & was there another issue @ Texas 2026
    Start up to Staging ?
the FCC rule's are little Vague
    They encourage a show ,
    Long burn outs
    Dry Hope's Like early
    Funny's / Dragster , I have only seen a few do " D-H"

    Time ,
None in print , just say's
timely manner, I guess most know every sec matters with Nitro , Alky more forgiving.
So I am asking No matter if a Rivalry
Or a Issues with compe***or you are going to run that round ,
Do You driver or Team member discuss ahead of time Yr start up to stage
    intentions / procedure
With other lane to Driver ?

The Starter needs to be Consistent in Judging . Most time this is where issues start .

  15. It was a mechanical issue. No games were being played. We usually discuss starting procedures with the other team to avoid issues. As the driver it's my job to stage the car and race. I will fight to get the car into the lights until the starter says shut it off.

If the FCC has only one rule book
witch I seen is 2025 & driver meeting is basically discussion it seem's to be a mix
    Of show & compe***ion.

    Compe***ion
Us the ones that run these type of car's know pretty much can not run like how was ran in 70- mid 90's.

I do not know if there was a issue @ Texas , If the opposing race felt there was a game played , Driver should consult the starter ,

Its the starter job to make sure all fair as can be .
Starter is one should take the Heat !

I am not saying you did any thing wrong ,or seen Texas start up in finals.
like you mention you are doing your Job ,

Seem's maybe Starter causing the issue
    By not paying attention ,

A show that you are payed to attend to put on is different I feel.

There is so much Video now adays & there should be a dedicated video to review,
Starter should have a stop watch .

Does the FCC use same starter @ these events ?
For future in driver meeting or in the organization meeting a time should be
Discussed & added to rule ,
As of now I have not looked to see if this is addressed in NHRA witch most use as standard rules .

  17. The car is coming along. A little more sheet metal work is needed. I have a Bruno unit shipping Monday. The new converter is here. They will be in the car sometime this week. The new fire suit showed up. PXL_20260418_162453851.jpg PXL_20260418_162310238.jpg PXL_20260418_023319656.jpg PXL_20260418_162453851.jpg PXL_20260418_162310238.jpg PXL_20260418_023319656.jpg

Brian, I'm able to see 4 images. At the bottom of your post it shoes; View Attachment and the number of that attachment. This occurs 5 times and clicking on any of these just brings you to Hamb Error. But like I said, I can see 4 images just fine. I'm not sure if this is the same thing that is happening with the others.

  27. Unfortunately Jack Klam p***es away. The body is almost straight. New rear tires show up tomorrow along with the Bruno. If I wasn't going to the Jefferson swap meet this weekend I could race it. It's almost ready to run.
