Well, I haven't gotten shit done lately, been finishing up my new house and a second shop for painting and assembly.

But my dad has been busting ass, and just finished another customer car. This one is a 31 A, and arrived as a total basket case. Dad ended up putting new quarters and subrails from Brookville into it, as well as a new pair of doors.

The frame is one of ours, this time with rails from American Stamping. 8" Ford rear, and a 4" Super Bell up front with '40 brakes. The motor is a 49 Ford flatty, taken out of a 51Merc (don't ask me) that was purchased Fathers Day in Cali and driven back here.

The owner wanted the roll bar and nerf bars, those were fabricated in house.

Anyhow, here's a few pics...this thing is sooooo East Coast, huh?

  3. I like it. It has a nice stance and everything looks like it has it place, nice job.

So does your dad ever get on here or is he busy in the shop where I should be more.

Nahh, he'll browse once in a while when I send a link or something, but haven't got him converted into full on computer guy yet.

  5. Good, leave him alone and let him keep building hotrods like that, because once he gets addicted to the HAMB he will be ruined like the rest of us:D

Looks awesome... can I ask you what you guys used for a license plate light? I've been looking for something that looks period correct and whatever that shielded lamp is, i'd like to get one... looks just right.

Alleghany Speed Shop in Catawba, VA. We're not an impressive looking operation by any means, so don't expect a tour like ya get at SoCal. :D
