I'd like to talk to the guy with the '36 3W. His car is almost a twin to mine (blown flatty and all)!

    Thanks, RACEFAB.

Tony -- Are you the lucky owner of the blown '36 Keith built? (BTW, check your e-mail.)

    Mike,

Lucky owner, yes; Keith, no. Mine was an old bay area car -- belonged to two brothers named Correa, I believe. Donn Lowe chopped it a massive 1 1/2" for me, and it now looks like this:

The flattie was built by Dave Tatom (based on your recommendation, thanks very much). The 265 that was in it from the previous owners got freshened and put in the '34 pickup that Keith built last year.

Thanks to Don D for this picture:

Would somebody please tell me about the water neck setup on that last pic of 50Fraud's '36? Can't quite read the heads - I had a similar idea that involved a bit of drilling and tapping on some stock heads. Nice cars all around by the way.

Oh yeah, and someone tell that poor girl to go eat a hamburger.

My engine has Baron heads, which use a water manifold similar to those on old V8-60 finned aluminum heads. Because of the large GMC blower case, these manifolds were modified to move the runners outward from the huffer. The three flanges where they join the head are obscured in the picture by the runner.

Well just got home, did the show on Sat evening and did the awards/ car removal on Sunday. Not a bad show but man the awards take to long..Do they think people want to her them talk.. (Tim if you read this, would love your comment about the awards section..)

My buddies shop had several cars they had worked on there and they did pretty well. Here are a few highlights..

Just curious as to why they call it a "roadster show".

  22. Hey RACEFAB, nice stuff. The grand national roadster show(pomona) was a pile. I wish i'd gone to your show

  23. There was some cool stuff at the show. There was also some overdone crap. I have to say that going to this thing is what pushed me over the edge into wanting a bobber. Some of the coolest stuff there was of the two wheeled variety.

The D'Aug stuff was just UNBELIEVABLE though. I have trouble believing that any of it ever hits the pavement, but geez! That stuff is cleaner than my kitchen.

Favorite ride there: The DP-90'd pickup. That thing was the epitomy of what a clean and traditional rod is. Attention to detail was unbelievable...but there wasn't too much of it (detail, I mean).

I kind of liked the Buick V-8 powered Hot Saw too [IMG]
