Looking for a temporary, maybe a few months or so, product or procedure to keep s fresh metal frame from what I call flash rusting. Anyone use something other than finishing it with primer and paint to keep the new metal from rusting?

New product called epoxy primer. Google it. If you don't have a compressor and paint gun, Eastwood sells it in 2K cans. A compressor may be cheaper

Another vote for Gibbs. I've used it on all the Brookville roadster bodies I've had. Yesterday I visited the shop paining my new roadster and they had already primed and sealed the outside and were ready to shoot color and they were also wiping down the inside prepping it for Epoxy then a spray on insulation. This body had Gibbs applied several times since I've had it. No problems.

    Salinasboys introduced me to Gibbs.
I have used Gibbs for about 15 years and one project stayed in bare metal for 6 years (dont ask) with no problem although we do not get much rusty metal in the Central Valley of Commifornia.
Be sure to spray it on a clean rag a wipe on a thin coat about once a month.

Anyone ever figured out what is in Gibbs? We can’t get it over the pond so would love to find an equivalent.

I did manage to get a can once and made it last but would kill for more.
