Fabian is one of the good guys. He really enjoys Landspeed racing and all kinds of automobile endevers. He lived a couple of miles from me when he bought the first LSR roadster he ran. Fellow San Diego Roadster Club member!

I saw pics of his 32 roadster wayy back when it was bare metal. Right before I found the hamb. Like 2000 or so. Blew me away that someone was driving around and enjoying their hotrod before it was "finished".

Edit. That was tom branch's roadster.

My first indirect experience with Fabian was about 08 or 09 when I sold the black deuce roadster with all the louvers and pinstriping to a customer from Japan. The customer spoke very little English but had an interpreter. He showed up during what was probably one of the worst winters we'd had in years. His stay was brief in my shop and he bought the car. When the carrier came to pick it up I saw where it was headed. Fast forward to summer and the LARS. I was walking the grounds and I spotted the old roadster stripped down to bare metal and sporting a new Ardun engine. I've always wondered what happened to the engine it left my shop with. A NOS FH block with all the good stuff done to it. The car is now tan with saddle interior and what looks to be Devco wheels. I've never met Fabian but he must be one hell of a builder. I remember seeing Fabians Chevy in the Suede Palace at the GNRS. He had just painted right before the show and it reeked of fresh paint. I think the paint was still wet.Ryan thanks for sharing!

As soon as I'd seen the name I knew the car. That said, was there an earlier version of it, or "in progress" shots out here in the vapors?

 

Owned this car he built... thought it was killer!

 

Wonder if he peeks when the sparks start to fly?

Really great guy, met him on my of my cal trips starting off not knowing each other from adam to being the last ones up drinking together and talking about everything other than cars and laughing like idiots! Best kinds of people.

He helped me repair our race car trailer at Wendover many years ago. I did not know him. He arrived, got out a portable welder, and helped us with the repair. Later we introduced ourselves. A great guy and I was thankful for his help
