History 1934 PLYMOUTH GASSER FOUND

UPDATE!!!!

The two men pictured above are the original builders of this 1933 Plymouth (photo taken last Friday night). Their cousin purchased the car from us, and his son-in-law has since installed the fenders we acquired after the sale. For those keeping track, it’s a Plymouth with a Dodge front end.

And here is the coupe back in the early 1960's!!

My '33 Plymouth has a '34 Dodge grille shell as well! I had a choice of '33 Plymouth grille or Dodge. I like the Dodge shell more.

In the photo below, a narrow rear window shows a hot rod that is not a Ford, or so it seems.

So, the body styles are similar, but the small things make each one different. Shown is a fenderless, Plymouth Coupe and then, in the story, a Plymouth Coupe with a Dodge front end?

Please take a look at the enclosed action of a 5 window coupe from the 1959 time period as an Altered Coupe. I took this film a long time ago and no one seems to know what kind of coupe it is. Not a Ford as I have a friend who has a 34 ford window coupe. The rear side window is too narrow. The closest thing is a 5 window Chevy coupe, but again, it misses the selection.

So, now, a 33 Plymouth looks to be the right window shape and small side window. Tall and narrow like the Altered Coupe I filmed in 1959.

It was the only non Ford car in the compe***ion and plus it was one of the only coupes with a right side steering system. YRMV
