Guys and gals..... Not sure where to post this, so it can be moved if needed. I've looked and looked but cannot determine the year of this coupe. All I have is this old picture of my Mom and Dad next to it. My thought is this was taken in late Sept of 1949 just after they were married. Any help will be greatly appreciated, and my thanks goes to all that may have the answer.
Looks to be a 41-48 Ford coupe. Not a 3 window. It would be a 5 window, they are just standing/blocking the B-Pillar.
this is a 41, but they looked pretty similar to 46-48. Fender trim, standard/deluxe, etc. It's a business coupe, eh?

If I recall correctly, some folks also called that a “short door” coupe, and the regular coupe with a back seat a “long door”.

Aircrew Staff Sgt., cool! I even love the patch on his IKE jacket patch, I have never seen that before. Do you mind if I use this picture on the Jungle Air Force FB page? Zooming in on the picture the beltline trim doesn't look like it has the ribs that the 41 Fords do. Could be a 41 Mercury as they had smooth trim that had a similar width as the ribbed Ford trim. It almost looks like the rear quarter trim is wider than the door/cowl trim. Rear quarter looks like 47/48 smooth trim and door/cowl looks like 41 Mercury smooth trim. Long Doors are also called Sedan Coupes
Ford made two different coupe bodies '41-'48. One that used the same doors as a 2 door sedan, one that used the same doors as the front doors on a 4 door sedan.
