I'm just south of Mt. Pleasant, and live just a few miles from Hilliard's junkyard near Vestaburg. It looked closed most of the summer, but I went back a few days ago and Erv was there and his kid too and they let me and a couple guys from Grand Rapids walk around. I've been to Swains, which is between Mancelona and Bellaire, and Hilliards has older stuff, and a lot of Swains looks like it was pushed in piles with a bulldozer. I also found another yard just north of Harrison, you can just see it through the trees on southbound us-27. They have mostly 60's-70's cars and some trucks with some 50's, a few 40's. The guy let me walk around, but when I asked about a junkyard crawl he said no big groups, and he didn't like cameras. Red

I took sephie there last summer. It's about 3 miles away from the inlaws. He pee'd his pants at least 5 times!!! I love that place. I usually wander around there at least once a year. I don't live up there though, I'm way down in Davisburg.
Guess the place isn't such a big secret We could have a weekend junkyard crawl/pj party in the spring and hit a few of them in that area. My folks have a vacation place not far from there that sleeps six, 12 if ya stack'um with plenty of floor space as well. I do I hear "road trip"?
Hey Frank where abouts in Bay City do you live? My grandparents live on Kilarney Beach and my Parents keep their boat at Wheelers Landing. I've been going there my whole life for vacations. Posterchild I'm in Auburn Hills where abouts in Rochester Hills are you? There are a couple of other guys close by as well, Buckle in Lake Orion, and Chuckspeed in Bloomfield.
Midland here, nothing cool yet. I just bother hatch a lot, college kills projects. The only yard I frequent is Hoopers but I havent been in a while, they know what everythings worth and hide the good stuff.
Fiveo, I'm in Midland too, haven't been to Hoopers in years. I didn't know they were still there. Some of these other yards sound very interesting!
I am on the west coast in Muskegon. I am always willing to hangout with fellow HAMBERS and have a shop full of brake lines, DOT 5 etc. at very cheap prices for helping out freinds. I am in the process of finishing a 29 Pickup, 31 five window Model A and other projects. Gary M.

I'm here in Berkley, right next to Royal Oak. I'm laid off, so that means I'm either always in the garage, or in the bar. I try to split my time evenly between both.....that way I can't be accused of being a drunk OR a car fanatic. I like to walk the fence ya know. Anyway, there's always a few HAMBers hanging out at my crib or with us at the bar...give me a holler.
I'm near Houghton Lake,........ The Yard in Alger is "Wolverton", most of the old stuff is sunk into the ground.
I'm a recluse (mostly 'cause I don't have anything running) but I hope to be out this summer! I'm also in Bay City with Fab32 and Lucky77. I keep on threatening to hang out. I just might follow through one of these days. Interestingly enough, I've been to quite a few shows with some Hambers at them and I haven't introuduced myself. I may prefer to remain anonymous until I get something on the road. What you've done shows more cred than talking about what you're going to do!
