History Fairlane ID help needed

    Got this from a neighbor and I've never owned a Fairlane. Just want to know what year this was. Nothing printed on the paper. Thanks 20260514_175728.jpg

    Any copyright info on it? The air cleaner looks a lot like a 65 mustang 6 cylinder air cleaner.

  3. 1964. You can tell by the shape of the rear quarterpanel (rounded, no fins) and the valve cover oil fill (first year for that) and generator (last year for that).

    Yes…..
    It has 289 Special on the valve cover. The transmission is likely the Dual Range Cruisomatic (1964 Green Dot C4)
    289 Specials got the C4.
    What made the 289 special was…..
    It was not a 260.
