Here are a few pics I took out on the lakebed saturday morning before the wind picked up. Saw a few good runs and then all hell broke loose. Its pretty scary driving off the lakebed, out in the middle of now where not being able to see past the hood of the truck. ENJOY

Cool pics - now go back & put a carriage return after each one so they scroll down instead of across.... ;)

They are scrolling down for me. How do I do a carriage return? WHat is that?

Haha, he means hit "Enter" The carriage return comes from typewriter days, you gotta be over 40 to know what a typewriter is..
    Great pictures, thanks for posting!!

I was there late Saturday with my AV8 Sport Coupe.

It is the first time out since it was parked in '58.

Flatty ran great, but the radiator sprung a bad leak and that was it for us.

I will post pics once I get my pics downloaded.

What a magical place with so much Hot Rod history!

Saturyday they shut down the racing early due a big *** dirt storm,
it lasted most of the day. If you look at the picture of the belly tank
in the background is what it looked like for about 4-5 hours.
High winds and complete white-outs. It was hard to see five feet
in front of your face at times. Sunday was beautiful all day though great day for racing.
Bobby and I got two runs in on the tank... I'll let Bob tell you that story.....Lucky
    Great pictures

Thanks Abomb!!! I appreciate that. yea, Saturday was hell, a dust nightmare. But Sunday was incredible !!! Sunny and perfect all day.
I was able to run twice because so many people left on Sat.
Here are a few pics of the run my buddy Primo shot. We turned 105 mph and have more to go!! but will have to wait til next year.

  23. I conned "zibo" into driving both cars out there on sunday and i was in awe. the lake is nuts...period. add in cars going over 200 and well.. it's preety hard to discribe. met alot of cool people and got to ditch zibo and drive the 29 as fast as it wanted to go from the 126 home. i had to share these with you guys that couldn't make it out and more importantly those who could but didn't!-coolhandluke

Great pics, Thanks for the inspiration to fix my coupe today. The blue ford, channeled and chopped truck, is my neighbors. He hates computers and will never get to appreciate the recognition his car gets on the web everywhere it goes. JP

Way to go Bobby on the 105. The tank looks great. Someday hopefully I'll park my tank next to yours!
