I drew this 'Millennial Falcon' (pun very much intended) for Star Wars day and forgot that it would fit here too.

1929 Model A Roadster for the Street Roadster Cl***

    upload_2026-5-15_4-2-12.png

    Hello,

A change over from a compe***ion style modified roadster to a street roadster cl***, takes some interesting mods in real life and artwork. It takes some doing to make it street legal, but it can be done. The basics of the original build can be used to strengthen and make it street worthy.

    Jnaki

A modified roadster build to start and with a few changes to a legal street roadster.

Some interior mods may have to be made to accommodate a 6 foot tall owner/builder, but the core of the smaller chrome grille, plus the lower hood line make a nice sleek street roadster. Motorcycle front fenders, muffler pipe baffles, and tires to be inside of wider rear fenders all point to a street legal daily cruiser. YRMV

Or, one could make a full fender street roadster that qualifies for the A/SR cl***… 292 blower spec SBC motor, 671 supercharger hooked up to a C&O Stick Hydro transmission.

For some reason this thread wants to double post my images when I try to post them in a single post. It takes multiple tries before it takes so I usually just give up and post them on separate posts. Anyone have a fix or...
    Thanks

    Hello,

When you have a photo saved to your file, the easiest way to post a single photo is to make sure your photo is not super large. I use a Microsoft Word program to copy and paste the photo. Now it gives the photo in the original saved item. Unless you have a powerful digital camera or any phone program, it may shoot in larger MP.

So, now you have to used the photo program to make the MP photo smaller. Or, you can go to any art program or Microsoft Paint to post the photo and see where you can trim the photo. The Paint program makes the original photo smaller and now those can be copied to past on the HAMB position of any thread.

    Jnaki

On the other hand, if you are trying to post two photos at the same time, that throws the system for a loop. So, if you have already posted two photos side by side in the Paint program, SAVE THEM AS ONE PHOTO. Now you can paste them on the Word Program for a complete two photo post.

I found these old photos of a Model A Coupe that looked like the original one my brother and i bought and towed home with a dock line rope. When I wrote a story of the Model A Coupe and what we did, it was too many photos. So, I put them all together (as one long photo) and it only took up a few lines, but it was a full edge to edge spread.

The best way for any photos from digital cameras or phones, is to save to your own files. Now, play with them to get the correct size and composition. Then you can cut/paste them anywhere. YRMV

Thanks., jnaki. I have them resized and if I make them smaller, they start to lose details. Oh well.

PLEASE MOVE THE Friday Art Show BACK TO THE MAIN BOARD!!!

Out of curiosity, I compared the LAST FAS on the Main Board (May 16-22, 2025) with last week's FAS on the Off Topic board (May 15-21. 2026)...One Year Later.

It appears the “New” Off Topic FAS, after one year, is a complete FAIL!!!

    Last Main board FAS-57 posts
Current Off Topic FAS- 12 posts
    A decline of 475%

Last Main board FAS-74 artistic images
Current Off Topic FAS-13 artistic images
    A decline of 569%

Also, the number of "likes" is down well over 50% due to lack of traffic on the Off Topic forum.

    What does everyone think????

we are not moving it back to the main board. there was too much off topic content. All the people that used to participate surely know where it got moved to....

The numbers prove differently...and even if they do know, nobody wants to bother posting their artwork where it won't be seen.
End of rant Mark...just thought I would give it a try...you're the boss.

it is surely more likely to be seen here in a permanently pinned thread as opposed to before where the threads were locked every Sunday and dropped into oblivion

90% of the folks on the HAMB are traditional rod & custom people with little interest in "off topic" or "antiquated" stuff so there is much less traffic there.
I think a lot of the past artists (including myself) feel why bother posting any artwork that very few will ever see.

...you guys both make good points; I'm just glad there is a place to post artwirk.
I haven't posted as much, but mostly because I haven't been busy with artwirk as much lately..
