I have been kicking around Pontiac, early Mustang etc. I have waded through tons of images and haven't found the ahah! tailight yet. Can anybody wow me with an idea??
    Thanks in advance!

I used 42-47 Olds taillights on my avatar roadster. They are a simple rectangular light and illuminate well. ***embly took me a few sets to get an undamaged trim ring. The rectangular ring is made of oh too thin stainless and dents easily, which is why I looked so long. You have to get the entire entire ***embly including the light socket. It took me awhile to find a good set but was worth the hunt. Bigger and brighter that teardrops but easily seen and not gaudy.

My '29 Tudor has '50-'51 Buick on an added skirt just below the body.

I have the round Pontiac lights on my fenderless '24 Dodge Roadster and love them. '40 Chev tail lights on my fenderless '33 Plymouth.
Just say NO to Mustang lights.

I give you high marks for using the word m*stang in your 1st post here. Bravo, good job, Bienvenido, Willkommen, Добро пожаловать, Bienvenue, and YI'el. That last one is Klingon and they didn't use m*stang taillights on Birds of Prey because they didn't want the galaxy laughing at them. They did commonly use the bumper sticker "Pagh frein Mafrein" which loosely translates to "We Brake for Nobody".

I've pondered this same problem for the last couple years myself.

I've looked at 50' merc, 41 Chevy etc and yes even caddy bullets. Never have decided on a set yet.

I can't find anything that I feel compliments the rear body lines of the car. Most look like add ons or added as a second thought so my quest continues too...

Yeah, it's not a Model A, But I think the '49-'50 Merc lights could be made to work pretty easy. And please, don't use Mustang lights.
