My 1934 Ford frame is pinched and runs suicide 37 Ford front axle so the std rubber brakehoses (edit type 40 Ford are too short (15") Anyone knows if there are available longer, atleast 18" , that fits. Maybe from other, newer Fords?
How would you do that at home? I have a Napa AP I have make my hydraulic hoses up, but they use this press tool thing which I don’t have. Thanks.
NAPA and most auto parts stores sell NiCop or Cunifer brake lines in 25, 50 and 100 foot coils. Easy to bend, double flare & resists corrosion. Good for fuel lines too. Looks nice. I get great results with a GearWrench double flaring kit. About $60usd.
Sounds like you’re talking rubber flex HOSE from frame to backing plate, right, NOT rigid tubing hard line? Get your parts store person to either look in back of a hose catalog in the dimension tables for what you need OR IF they can make up hoses, just take the too short hose to show them the type of ends, tell them how long and VOILA’, you’re done My mom and pop parts store made mine in about 15 minutes.

For the Stock 1/4" line with 7/16"-20 Male and a 7/16"-24 female F79362 is 17 1/2" long F103204 is 21" long F6560 is 18 1/8" long (has a washer stop not a horseshoe) 1942-51 1/2 ton Ford truck (H6560) F6222 is 18 3/8" long (has external and internal thread) Dodge 1974-61, 1958-53 (H6222) If you're using a 3/16" hard line with a 7/16"-20 Male and a 3/8"-24 female F71371 is 17 3/8" long Cadillac and Olds 67-78 (H71371) 17 1/2" long. F98939 is 18 3/16" long (has a washer stop not a horseshoe) Dodge van and pickup 1968-73 rear (H36664) 18 1/4" long Sad part is some cross to newer numbers some don't.
Thanks for all the input guys. I live up here in Sweden so some refrences are of lesser use to me, and yes, Im talking rubberhoses from wheelsylinder to frame and I am using 3/16 brakelines. Sorry about not being spesific but I never heard of hardlines straight into the cylinders on front brakes so I thought it was obvious I have only found one guy up here who makes them on specs but they are steelbraided rubber and no way I will use that om my 34. Its not a dishwasher, its a hot rod.
If you look up in spec catalogue Get a part # then use part # to find what Year model uses , then use like Rock Auto , Or Hollander interchange book . Its been a while I think in Ford Like 65 F100 , T -bird had longer hose that will fit the like 39 Ford . Another way find out what threads on each end then do Internet Search with threads sizes & brake hoses It will bring up so much , then look for length ..
Yes, but you might have to choose between dishwasher on the road or authentic sitting in the garage. Sometimes compromise isn't a bad choice.
That was actually my first thought but Im not sure how much sunlight and wear a heatshrink can withstand. Its an option though.

These are 18.25" and are for a 3/16" hard line or do you need longer?
