The 22JR (shown on here previously) and Dennis Varni's 29 are at the top of my list.

    Yep.

I saw him and his roadster at Indy Goodguys shortly after he won the trophy. I asked and he said he drove it all the way to Indiana.

    Here's the "HAMB-Friendlier" version of Varni's '29:

For me this my my order. So hard to beat a 28/29 but the 33/34 just push them out. This is the same for coupes for me. Ive never been in love with a 32 even having owned a couple.

I think someone in CA owns this car. I spoke to the owner at Riverside TROG a few years back. It was built by two brothers. He had all the do***entation and little book features on it. It ran really well with a built 8BA

  17. I am held captive by my life experience. The 28/29 reminds me of this, and if you are a pig farmer this is not a good thing. I will concede that they can still catch my eye from certain angles and are better without fenders and with an original grille. My local hotrod elders have explained that the 28/29 is the preferred model, but I am here to pickup the 30/32 s****s until a model 40 comes my way. BD9E52A2-1F90-4912-96F4-A9CB9FEE671C.jpeg

It was featured in, and on the cover of the February 1967 issue of Rod & Custom, where this image comes from.
I believe I have seen current photos of the same car here on the H.A.M.B.
I really like the way it looks.

Nice one Jimmy. So hard to beat a 29 especially with no windshield.

Never seen this before. Such a cool Model A and banger powered too. I'll have to save these pic's for inspiration for my 29 Model A Roadster and Riley. Thanks for posting. riley1.JPG
