Technical Need help to ID early Pontiac engine & transmission

Good morning , I am looking for help identifying an early Pontiac split head 6 engine & transmission . I have tried on the early Pontiac forums , but no luck . I bought a farmer built buzz saw rig with a Pontiac split head engine & trans for power . I got it running quite well , but have decided against using it to power a doodlebug tractor as I planned . If I can ID it I'll make it available to someone that needs it . Engine serial no . 537193

Judging from the serial number it was made somewhere the middle of the 1931 production year. This was the only engine Pontiac offered from 1926 to 1932 so the serial numbers are pretty linear if you look at the numbers starting from 000001 in 1926 to approximately 816500 at end of production in 1932

 

Whatever it is it is definitely cool but not OSHA approved

Can’t speak on the serial number, but if the engine matches the radiator shell it’s a 1929. But of course it may have been swapped out over the years.
